?Chapter 1533:
“Now that sounds better.” Christina quickly reversed their positions, smirking as she kissed him fiercely.
The next morning, right after Christina finished eating breakfast, Brendon arrived at the door.
Robin’s face turned dark immediately. “What exactly are you doing here?” he asked, looking at Brendon with clear annoyance.
Brendon clenched his jaw, angry that Robin was acting like the Dawson house belonged to him.
But remembering his reason foring, he forced himself to ignore the irritation.
“You’re here to see Christina?” Bethel looked at Brendon with helpless sadness, letting out a quiet sigh.
Her anger hadn’t stopped him from divorcing Christina years ago—so what use was his regret now?
Brendon only wanted Christina back, but it was far toote. Once Christina chose to leave, getting her to return was nearly impossible.
“Yes, Grandma,” Brendon replied politely.
“Please sit down, and we can talk,” Bethel instructed.
Robin reacted quickly, stepping forward to support Bethel. “Let me help you, Mrs. Dawson,” he said with a rxed smile. He knew Christina cared deeply for Bethel, so he treated her kindly.
“You truly are such a thoughtful boy.” Bethel smiled brightly at him, clearly full of affection.
Robin had been staying awhile and always found ways to make her happy. She was growing fonder of him every day.
Seeing how easily Robin fit in, Brendon couldn’t shake the feeling that even his grandmother was being stolen—and that thought angered him further.
First Robin snatched Christina, now he was taking his grandmother—this was uneptable.
“Christina, look at this picture,” Brendon said, handing her a photo.

“The girl Dn liked before is back. I’m concerned… They might cause problems for you.”
Someone had sent the photo anonymously, hinting it might change Christina’s mind.
Brendon didn’t see how, but even a small chance was worth trying.
The picture showed Dn standing with Vickie.
The intimate angle, with one looking down and the other up, created a soft, dreamlike glow.
Only those who knew Christina and Dn’s past would understand how painful this was. Combined with the news of her industry ban, the photo felt like a sharp de aimed at her heart.
Bethel trembled with anger. Had she misjudged the situation so badly?
“What is there to be scared of? Christina is with me,” Robin said. He snatched the photo, tore it aggressively into pieces, and threw them in the trash.
“You—!” Brendon sputtered, then forced himself to calm down. He turned to Christina. “Christina, maybe you should just leave the country for a bit?” he suggested.
