Chapter 1342

    ?Chapter 1342:

Hurley squinted at his phone, scrolling and tapping furiously.

“Why is the group chat silent? Even Garry hasn’t said a word.” He turned his phone this way and that, holding it higher, then lower, as though that might somehow help.

Despite the signal being perfectly strong, he was convinced there had to be awork problem.

Switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data, he muttered curses at the service provider under his breath.

“Dad, it’s not the signal. They just haven’t messaged yet. Please sit down—you’re making me even more anxious,” Gerry sighed.

Hurley shot him a re. “You’re the one pacing like a caged animal! You nearly knocked me over twice, and I didn’t even say a word. Now you darein about me?”

“I—” Gerry began, but Bain suddenly eximed, “Ophelia sent a message!”

His voice rose with excitement, trembling with disbelief.

As soon as the message from Ophelia appeared, Bain’s entire face lit up with joy. His eyes reddened, brimming with emotion.

Tears of sheer relief spilled freely down his cheeks.

Wonderful. He had finally found his sister.

    “Crash!”

In his tion, Jordy dropped his phone. He didn’t even bother to pick it up. Instead, he lunged toward Gerry, clutching his arm and leaning in to look at the screen in his brother’s hands.

“My sister… she’s truly my sister!”

Gerry’s ecstatic cry reached Jordy’s ears before Jordy’s own eyes could even focus on the message.

When Jordy finally read Ophelia’s words, a rush of emotion surged through him and tears blurred his vision. Christina really was their sister.

Suddenly realizing something, Jordy grabbed Gerry’s ear and demanded sharply, “What did you just say? Your sister? Listen here—she’s my sister too! She’s our sister!”

Gerry winced in pain. “Ah! It hurts! Let go, Jordy. That’s my sister!”

No sooner had he said it than Bain reached out and seized Gerry’s other ear.

    “She’s mine,” he dered coldly.

“What do you mean yours?! You’re not stealing her from me—none of you are!” Jordy shot back, grabbing Bain’s arm.

Gerry immediately joined in, gripping both their arms, refusing to give an inch.

Though Jordy was usually cautious around Bain, when it came to their sister, he and Gerry were ready to fight to the bitter end for her.
