?Chapter 1334:
“Please, have a seat,” Christina repeated kindly.
Beth blinked out of her daze, forcing an awkward smile. “Oh—thank you,” she murmured, quickly taking a seat.
Once they were settled, Florrie ced the supplements they had brought on the table and pulled out a check. “This is five million. Please, ept it,” she said warmly.
“I can’t ept something so generous,” Christina replied, gently pushing the check back. “Take it with you, but I’ll dly keep the supplements.”
It was clear to Christina that the gifts were expensive; they must have spent a great deal of money on them.
“Please, just take it,” Florrie urged, holding out the check again.
Feigning irritation, Christina sighed. “If you keep insisting, I’ll have to get upset.”
Her tone immediately stopped Florrie, who withdrew the check reluctantly. She wanted to do something meaningful for Christina, felt that even five million wasn’t enough, yet feared that offering too much would only lead to rejection.
Christina poured coffee for them and said pleasantly, “Please, have some coffee.”
Her sharp eyes swept subtly over the three women, sensing they had something more to say but were hesitant to begin.
Taking a sip of her drink, Christina raised an eyebrow, a faint smile ying on her lips. “I assume your visit isn’t simply to offer thanks.”
At her words, the three women exchanged uncertain looks.
Christina’s knowing expression deepened—she was right; there was more. “Please, don’t hesitate to speak your minds,” she said, her voice calm and inviting.
The women shared another look before Florrie finally spoke. “Miss Jones, we do have a rather delicate request…”
Florrie, Beth, and Ophelia all turned toward Christina, anxious and hopeful at the same time.
Florrie took a slow breath, gathering her courage. “I know this may sound abrupt… but you look so much like my mother. And years ago, I lost my granddaughter.” Her voice trembled. “I want to ask if you would do a DNA test with my daughter-inw.”

Her words fell softly, but the emotion behind them was overwhelming.
Beth and Ophelia stiffened, their fingers twisting with nerves as they waited for Christina’s reaction.
Christina’s brows lifted slightly. She had read about Hurley’s missing child. She had just never imagined they would look at her—of all people—and think she might be that child.
“Just because I resemble your mother?” Christina said lightly, trying to ease the tension. “There are many people in the world who look alike.”
Even as she smiled, a thought flickered in her mind. It was strange how fate sometimes arranged for faces to reappear across generations.
Florrie shook her head, tears already spilling. “I know it might just be a coincidence. But as long as there’s even the slightest chance, I can’t give up.”
