Chapter 1333

    ?Chapter 1333:

They worried they might identally offend her and that she would refuse the DNA test. Worse, she might throw them out before they could even exin.

The more they imagined the possibilities, the more their anxiety grew, draining the color from their faces.

Their hearts pounded furiously, beating so fast they thought they might burst from their chests—especially when Aylin appeared at the vi entrance to greet them. Their palms slicked with sweat, their bodies tense with a mix of dread and anticipation.

The entrance of the vi stood right before them, yet Beth and the others suddenly found their courage faltering, a ripple of hesitation freezing them in ce.

“Grandma, Beth, why did you stop?” Ophelia asked gently, her voice soft with concern.

“I don’t know why, but I suddenly feel nervous,” Florrie whispered, her tone barely audible.

“I feel it too… I was so eager to rush here before, but now that we’re actually at the door, I feel like turning back,” Beth admitted quietly.

“To be honest, I… I feel the same way,” Ophelia confessed, her gaze shifting between them.

Aylin had already stepped into the vi, but noticing they hadn’t followed, she quickly turned back outside.

“Is something the matter, dies?” she asked politely as she approached.

“No, no,” they answered quickly in unison, shaking their heads. It wasn’t that there was any real issue—an uneasy feeling had simply crept over them, making them hesitant to go inside.

“Please,e in,” Aylin said with a courteous bow, gesturing toward the entrance.

Beth and the others exchanged uneasy nces, drew in a deep breath, and finally followed Aylin’s lead.

Before long, they found themselves in the living room, where Christina rose to greet them.

    ???????????? с???ρ???????? ??α??????ν??????﹒?????

She hesitated for a moment, her gazending on Beth’s unfamiliar face.

Ophelia had mentioned her visit beforehand, so Christina had only expected her and Florrie—not Beth.

Christina already knew quite a bit about the family’s situation from the information Scarface had shared with her. Hurley didn’t fit the profile of someone she’d ept a contract on, so she nned to refuse the job. Yet if she turned it down, the client determined to see Hurley dead would surely find another assassin. She intended to warn Florrie quietly that someone was targeting her son.

“Please, have a seat,” Christina said with a warm smile.

Beth stood rooted in ce, staring at Christina in disbelief. The resemnce was uncanny—far stronger than any photograph had ever shown. Christina looked exactly like her grandmother. A spark of excitement lit in Beth’s chest; she was certain this woman was Bonnie, the long-lost daughter they had been searching for all these years.
