?Chapter 1328:
She struggled desperately, but she couldn’t break free. “Stop, Katy! Please stop! If you keep stabbing him, he won’t survive!” Her voice cracked again and again until it barely sounded human. “Please! I’m begging you, stop! He’s your brother! Katy!”
But Katy didn’t stop. Blood sttered across her hands and clothes, the smell of iron thick in the air. She turned her head slowly, her expression twisted betweenughter and tears.
“Why are you begging for him again, Mom?” she asked, her voice trembling with madness. “Didn’t you say I’m your only child now? If he’s still breathing, how can I be your only one?”
Her smile widened, but her eyes were hollow. “Only when he’s dead will that be true.”
Nelly’s knees buckled. Her sobs broke into ragged gasps.
But there was nothing she could do. She now understood what being utterly powerless felt like. She had never imagined things would get to this.
Nelly’s eyes went wide with horror when she realized Katy had no intention of stopping. Panic shot up her spine like fire.
“Ah… Katy! You’re insane! You lunatic! If I had known you were capable of such cruelty, I would have killed you myself when I had the chance!” she cried, every word soaked in agony. “My son! Give me back my son! Give him back! Give him back!”
Katy’s face was void of emotion, untouched by the storm of insults hurled her way.
Any trace of hope she once held for Nelly had long dissolved, fading like mist under a rising sun.
She pressed her lips together and moved toward Terence in slow, deliberate steps. Then, out of nowhere, a chilling grin tugged at one corner of her mouth.
With her body sttered in blood and a sharp, crimson-streaked knife clenched in her hand, she looked every bit the image of a deranged killer.
Terence had been holding his breath, doing everything in his power to stay unnoticed, praying silence would grant him survival.
But fate proved merciless. He hadn’t foreseen that Katy would spare Nelly—only to turn toward him instead.

His entire body began to tremble violently, his eyes widening as raw terror consumed him.
“Katy… my daughter, my sweet girl, please… don’t kill me. I’m your father. Remember how much I cared for you? Everything you ever wanted, I gave it to you… Please, please, don’t be rash, calm down… calm down… I was wrong, I swear. I won’t hand you over to Darian. My dear child, I’ll give up thepany, I’ll give up everything. I’ll take you far away from here…” His words tumbled out in a quivering rush, his voice thick with fear and tears.
“Dad,” Katy murmured with a wide, eerie grin. “It’s far toote. You all… should die together.”
Her eyes gleamed with a feral light as she drove the knife into Terence’s abdomen.
