?Chapter 1200:
Supporters of Ynda and Brendon already had it out for Christina, and this just gave them more fuel to go after her.
A few took it further, nning to confront Christina in person.
The calmer crowd stayed quiet, watching from the sidelines. But the ones driven by rage dove in, ready to rip Christina to shreds.
“She’s heartless! Who does that to a baby? Why drag an innocent child into grown-up drama?”
“She’s toxic. Who hurts a baby like that?”
“She made Ynda lose her baby and didn’t even say sorry. She just vanished like a coward. I hope she goes through the same pain!”
Christina was in her home gym, lost in her workout. Her phone sat in another room, buzzing with missed calls from Davina, none of which she acknowledged.
While the inte burned with outrage, Christina stayed clueless, unaware of the storm brewing in her name.
Quiet music filled the gym, the steady beat bouncing off the walls.
Christina’s entire body was soaked with sweat, and she was riding the intense high that always came after pushing herself to the limit.
Without warning, someone rapped their knuckles lightly against the ss door.
Christina spun around to find Davina slouched against the doorframe, watching her with a look of relief and annoyance.
“What brings you here?” Christina asked, confused. One look at Davina’s face told her something was definitely wrong.
“I’ve been calling you over and over, and you never picked up. I was freaking out! I seriously thought something bad had happened to you,” Davina said, exhaling heavily with obvious relief.
She’d practically run all the way here, her imagination conjuring up every worst-case scenario possible while her heart hammered against her ribs.
?????????????? ?????????? ???? ??????????ν??????﹒?????
The moment Aylin had casually mentioned Christina was working out, Davina’s stomach had twisted with dread. What if Christina had pushed herself too hard and passed out? Only now, seeing Christina standing perfectly fine in front of her, did the crushing anxiety finally lift from Davina’s shoulders.
Christina automatically reached for her phone before remembering where it was. She gave Davina an apologetic smile.
“Oh no, I left it plugged in upstairs. I’m so sorry for scaring you like that.”
“As long as you’re alright, that’s all that matters,” Davina said, her body visibly rxing as thest of her worry drained away.
Christina grabbed a nearby towel and began dabbing at the sweat covering her.
“So what’s going on? Something must’ve happened.”
