?Chapter 1199:
Brendon’s expression darkened at her words.
“Mother, you should leave. Don’te near Ynda again. If you ever upset her, don’t me me when I cut ties with you,” he said icily.
Joselyn staggered back, her body reeling from the impact of his cold rejection.
She couldn’t ept those words from the son she had once been so proud of.
Joselyn, stunned and hurt, repeated herself. “You’re really going to treat me like this? I’m your mom! I brought you into this world!”
Brendon looked at her with icy eyes and said, “If you weren’t my mom… I don’t know what I would have done.”
If someone else had harmed his child, he wouldn’t have hesitated to make them pay. But this was his mother, and that stopped him.
Joselyn’s chest tightened, and tears filled her eyes, spilling down her cheeks.
She didn’t stay. Without another word, she turned and walked away.
Once Joselyn was gone, Ynda gently took Brendon’s hand and murmured, “Brendon… Wasn’t that a little too much?”
“I don’t think so. She went too far,” Brendon said firmly. He was confused by his mother’s sudden hostility toward Ynda.
She used to adore Ynda and couldn’t tolerate Christina. But now, she seemed to be backing Christina. Had Christina gotten into her head somehow?
“Brendon… I feel awful that you’re doing this to your mom just because of me and the baby. I didn’t mean to make things harder for you,” Ynda said, uneasy.
Her puffy eyes showed she’d been crying, yet she was still worried about him. Brendon felt moved and guilty.
He pulled Ynda into his arms and whispered, “Hey, you’ve got nothing to feel guilty about. If anyone’s to me, it’s me.”

“I get it. But I just can’t wrap my head around our baby being hurt by his own grandma,” Ynda said, her voice breaking.
“Don’t cry. We’ll have more kids,” Brendon said, trying tofort her.
His guilt over Ynda and the baby made him want to make amends. He decided to get her some jewelry.
“Once you’re better, I’ll sign over the downtown penthouse to you,” Brendon promised softly.
“Thanks, Brendon.” Ynda hugged him tight, a victorious smile lighting up her face.
Faking a child to win the penthouse and frame Joselyn had worked like a charm.
From now on, no one who didn’t matter would mess with her peace.
Meanwhile, the inte exploded with news about Ynda’s miscarriage.
Fingers pointed at Christina almost instantly, and wild theories took over, painting her as cruel and calcting.
