Chapter 1252: Chapter 1264:

"What do you mean, don’t you understand?"
Chu Ge mimicked Pang Ming’s tone in reply.
Instantly, Pang Ming narrowed his eyes angrily at Chu Ge, "Chu Ge, are you actually trying to take my life?"
Chu Geughed, "I say, Pang Ming, your question is rather odd, don’t you think? You wanted to take my life, but now you’re standing before me. If I seek revenge, that’s only fair, isn’t it?"
As Chu Ge finished speaking, suddenly the people behind Pang Ming stepped forward to block him.
They red at Chu Ge with hostile eyes, as if ready to attack if Chu Ge made any move.
Chu Ge’s lips curled into a cold smile, "Seems like Pang Ming, you don’t know me well, your men are no match for me."
"How do you know if you don’t try?" One of the ck-clothed men sneered at Chu Ge, ring menacingly.
Chu Ge chuckled, cing one hand behind his back and gesturing forward with the other, "If you don’t believe me, I can spare one hand."
That man narrowed his eyes at Chu Ge, his gaze seemingly ready to tear him apart; many of their brothers had fallen to Chu Ge, the seed of hatred was nted early on, and now with Chu Ge provoking them, their anger was naturally inmed.
Chu Ge’s lips curled into a faint smile, he taunted: "Come on, do you want to try?"
Those men were about to step forward when Pang Ming stopped them again, "Enough, you’re not his match, step back, I have a few words for Mr. Chu."
Though unwilling, the ck-clothed men had toply with the boss’s orders.
"Mr. Chu, this isn’t the ce to talk, can you spare a moment?"
Chu Ge cast him a suspicious nce; he wasn’t afraid, so he nodded, "Let’s go to the bar ahead."
Chu Ge spoke, gave him a cold look, then turned and walked towards the bar.
Pang Ming followed behind him, gesturing with his eyes to the people behind him, who understood and retrieved a box from the car, carrying it as they followed Chu Ge into the bar.
The bar was quiet at noon, not busy at all; with Chu Ge inside, Long Ang was chatting with the staff at the front desk.
Upon seeing Chu Ge entering, he greeted warmly: "Mr. Chu, you’re here."
Chu Ge nodded, "Prepare two cups of tea."
Long Ang cast a doubtful nce at the person behind Chu Ge, "Who is this?"
"I’ll exinter."
Chu Ge finished speaking and led Pang Ming to a private room.
Once seated, Chu Ge asked, "Pang Ming, state your true intention."
Chu Ge said coldly.
Pang Ming chuckled, waved a hand, and a person beside him took the hint, cing the box on the table and opening it.
Chu Ge looked at him in confusion, but when the box was opened, he saw what was inside.
"What does this mean?"
The box contained none other than Crystal Jade; there were five pieces in total.
"Today, I’m here to make a deal with Mr. Chu."
Pang Ming said with a grin.
Chu Ge, crossing his legs, asked incredulously, "What deal?"
"I want to ask you not to treat Zhang Tao." Pang Ming stated word by word.
Chu Ge frowned slightly; although he had already decided not to treat Zhang Tao, hearing it now still left him puzzled.
"The grudges between you all have nothing to do with me."
Chu Ge said.
Pang Ming nodded, "Correct, our grudges indeed have nothing to do with you, but now I want to coborate with you; if you agree not to treat Zhang Tao, these five pieces of Crystal Jade are yours."
The five pieces were worth billions collectively, and Pang Ming was exceptionally generous.
Chu Ge grew curious about how Pang Ming acquired these five Crystal Jades.
Pang Ming, unaware of Chu Ge’s thoughts, smiled lightly and spoke to Chu Ge: "I know you particrly need Crystal Jade right now, and its market price is high, even scarce, so I assume these five pieces are quite rare for you."
Chu Ge lightly pressed his lips together, saying nothing, while guessing Pang Ming’s real motives.
At first, a few men tried to kill him, and now that they failed, they sought to please him in such a manner. What is this?
A p followed by a sweet date?
Ha! Chu Ge isn’t falling for it.
Chu Ge made no response, leaving Pang Ming a bit anxious, "Is Mr. Chu dissatisfied with the small number of Crystal Jades?"
Chu Ge chuckled and gently shook his head, "Take them back, I won’t ept."
Pang Ming froze for a moment, then his face sank, "Mr. Chu, won’t you reconsider?"
"Much thinking is pointless."
Chu Ge replied softly, "Did you ever consider sitting here negotiating with me when you initially sent people to hunt me down?"
Pang Ming pressed his lips tightly, saying nothing.
"Someone who wanted me dead now presents me with such expensive items iming to negotiate, I don’t consider this a negotiation."
Chu Ge scoffed lightly, speaking.
Pang Ming pondered for a while, his face showing traces of mild displeasure and unwillingness, then as if with resolved determination, he said: "If Mr. Chu minds my previous actions, I apologize to Mr. Chu."
Chu Ge was slightly surprised to see Pang Ming actually lower his head.
"But Mr. Chu, I sincerely plead with you now, not to save Zhang Tao."
Pang Ming raised his gaze to Chu Ge, his eyes exhibiting newfound sincerity.
"Why? Give me a reason."
Chu Ge asked.
Pang Ming nced towards his subordinates, "All of you, leave now."
Those men were somewhat worried, "Boss, what if..."
"There’s no ’what if’."
Pang Ming motioned, waving them away, "If Mr. Chu wanted to make a move, he would have done so long ago, besides with Mr. Chu’s martial arts, even your presence wouldn’t help."
Those men red at Chu Ge in frustration, then turned and left the private room.
Suddenly, only Pang Ming and Chu Ge remained in the room.
Chu Ge smiled and said, "Pang Ming, aren’t you afraid I might actually make a move on you?"
Pang Mingughed twice and said, "I’ve seen life and death; even if Mr. Chu desires my life, I wouldn’t have any chance to retaliate, not to mention, if you truly wanted my life, you would have taken it already, right?"
Chu Ge’s lips curled softly, "Tell me about your grudge with Zhang Tao, maybe upon listening, I’ll agree to your request."
