Anilo stepped forward and expressed his gratitude, “Thank you, Gamma Adide, and Alpha Lance, for saving Griffin.”
“He’s your nephew, right?” Adide asked.
“Yes,” Anilo replied.
Adide smiled and said, “Griffin shows great potential and has a strong sense of responsibility. Now that he’s mostly recovered, has a suitable position been arranged for him?”
“He’s now part of Lycan Erasmus’s personal werewolf guard and officially part of the Ironthorn Army,” Anilo replied.
Adide wasn’t aware of this development, only knowing that Magnus and Eugene hadn’t been assigned roles yet.
珍
She simply nodded and said, “Tell him to do his best.”
The Southern Border Campaign was Griffin’s first battle, after which he was captured and joined Eugene’s scout team.
Adide then inquired, “What about Ulrik? Now that he’s been promoted to deputy captain of the Lycan King’s personal werewolf guard, it seems a bit unfair to Griffin.”
Anilo exined, “When Griffin went to war, he was just an ordinary werewolf warrior, while Ulrik was already a general. Ulrik waster demoted several times due to various incidents. However, Lycan Erasmus still has faith in him.”
Adide nodded in understanding.
After arranging the relevant matters, Adide said, “During my meeting with Lycan Erasmus today, he mentioned the Ministry of Justice is short–staffed and needs personnel from the Capital Guard. Ellen, you’re in charge of the transfer. Report directly to me if any issues arise.”
“Yes!” Ellen nodded. “I’ll gather the team right away.”
Adide added, “I’ll go with you.”
As they exited the Capital Guard headquarters, they saw Ampelio approaching with members of the Royal Guard.

In his carly thirties, Ampelio had a contemptuous look in his eyes. Though not overly tall, his lean and muscr build exuded strength.
He and his subordinates saluted, his tone brimming with arrogance, “I arrivedte due to official duties, Gamma Adide. Please forgive my tardiness.”
Adide nodded slightly, her gaze sweeping over the twelve squad leaders standing in two rows behind him.
Each had a defiant look, clearly not taking her seriously.
True to the saying, “like general, like soldiers.”
“There’s no special agenda for today, everyone’s dismissed to handle
your duties……”
Before Adide could finish, Ampelio interjected, “Since there’s nothing else, we’ve all made acquaintances now. I’ll take my leave; there’s much to attend to at the pce.”
With that, he marched off with his men, pletely disregarding Adide.
Ellen frowned and called out, “Ampelio!”
But Ampelio ignored him, walking away without a backward nce.
Ellen exined helplessly to Adide, “Ampelio’s just aloof by nature, no offense meant.”
Adide, sensing Ellen’s protectiveness, said nothing more.
“Let’s head to the Ministry of Justice,” she stated.
The Ministry of Justice was indeed in full swing.
Lance, after a brief returnst night, hade straight back and hadn’t yet begun interrogating Madison.
On one hand, he wanted to dy the interrogation to break her spirit; on the other, he needed to gather corroborating evidence.
Thus, everyone from Madison’s manor was being questioned one by one.
Additionally, escaped suspects were being urgently recaptured.
When Adide and Ellen arrived, everyone was so busy they barely noticed the new female
Gamma.

It wasn’t until Adide began sorting through portraits that Dennis looked up.

His
gaze
moved slowly to her face, and upon seeing her bruised eye, he recognized her as the new Ironthorn Armymander.
Adide and Lance were mates, but they were not the traditional Luna and Alpha mating.
Dennis nced at Lance, whose eyes were fixed on Adide with a tender, almost pained affection.
Dennis felt a touch of sweet surprise and chuckled, realizing Lance had a soft side.
Adide avoided eye contact with Lance.
In her uniform and with a bruised eye, she knew he’d be concerned. She could feel his gaze on
her.
After handing the portraits to Ellen and while everyone’s attention was on him, she discreetly shot Lance a look.
Lance instinctively reached for her hand but realized the setting was inappropriate. Instead, he scratched his forehead and whispered, “What happened to your eye?”
“Beata identally bumped into me this morning, right on the eye,” Adide nonchntly exined, her voice pitched just loud enough for those present to hear.
She wanted to preempt any unfounded spection.
Given the bruise’s appearance, it might look like a punch.
But as Lance’s mate, who would darey a hand on her?
To shield Lance from undeserved bacsh, she provided this exnation.
