Chapter 129

Given the precarious situation in Stormw Alliance and the fact that the reagents still required Analise''s blood, Analise insisted Gideon draw two pints of blood from her that night. Gideon had originally nned to draw just 0.8 pints, but she said she had a way to recover from it.

"Go ahead. I''ll be fine. I can make up for it," she said.

But Gideon and Fiy were scared out of their wits.

"No way. The most is a pint," Gideon said firmly, refusing toply.

"Even 0.8 pints feels like too much," Fiy remarked, visibly upset. His eyes were filled with worry as he continued, "Ana, your health alwayses first."

"Don''t worry. Remember that thing I gave you the other day? Didn''t you notice your body feels different now?" she replied, winking at him.

"But even so, suddenly drawing two pints of blood is really dangerous..." Fiy faltered.

"Let''s do one pint. If we need moreter, we''ll tell you. At least this gives you time to recover. That amount is already enough to make a few thousand doses," Gideon chimed in, opting for the most conservative approach.

"1.7 pints, and that''s final," Analise said, suddenly pulling out a ss of water from somewhere and brandishing it at them. "I have this, so don''t worry."

While Gideon drew blood from her, she sipped the water slowly. Only after hepleted the procedure did she down the rest of the ss in one go. Then, she produced another one and drank that, too.

To their surprise, the pallor from the blood loss began to fade from her face. A healthy flush returned almost immediately.

By the time they finished preparing 1,000 doses of reagent the next day, Fiy received a call from Scott asking how things were going on their end.

    "How''s Gideon''s researching along?

"By the way, the potion Ana gave me seems to have triggered some new ability. I can now control water and fire. For now, I''ve managed to temporarily subdue the mad therians, but I''m not sure how long I can keep it up," Scott said, pointing the interface toward the therians trapped inside floating water spheres.

"You have an ExoAbility, too?" Analise was surprised.

"You''re not badly hurt, are you?" she asked, studying Scott through the interface, concern dripping from her voice.

After all, he was her contracted mate-of course she''d be worried. But the interface only showed his upper body, and since he was fully dressed, she couldn''t see anything clearly.

"I''m fine. It''s just a minor wound," Scott said with his usual gentle smile.

Not wanting her to worry, he didn''t mention therge injury on his back he got after he was mmed into the starship.

"Things are pretty chaotic in Stormw Alliance right now. Stay with Shadowhawk Alliance for the time being. Let Fiy bring the reagents back by himself," he suggested.

The starship station was now under his control, but a part of the berserk male therjans in the containment facility and dungeon cells were no longer affected by the inhibitors. They''d broken out and turned into bloodthirsty monsters.

Fortunately, Scott had evacuated the civilians in advance, so there weren''t too many new infections. Still, the buildings in Stormw City had suffered a lot of damage.

    "Okay." Analise nodded.

With such arge-scale outbreak, there was no way this small batch of reagents could save the frenzied males crisis across the Interster therian world.

So, Analise had to continue supplying adot of blood. She also gave Gideon ten vials of Purification Potions, instructing him to mix them into the reagents ording to a specified ratio so she didn''t need to contribute that much blood.

While the Aetherwell Elixir could replenish her, Analise-having grown up in the human era-still believed it was better to regain her strength gradually through regr nourishment.

Using the elixir felt like charging a phone. Slow charging preserved battery life, while fast charging

was fine, but relying on the elixir all the time would only worsen the toll on her body.

    ...

When Fiy finally arrived at the starship station, he saw Scott standing in the

middle of a crowd, surrounded by floating water orbs of all sizes.

"Scott, how are you holding up? I''ve brought the reagents," he said, disembarking with two crates of medicine in his arms.
