She didn''t dare return to Andrew''s room. Instead, she sent him a quick text, slipped out of the Everly estate, and went back to the Sullivan residence.
She and Larry had been sleeping in separate rooms recently. Once back in her own room, Fiona didn''t even bother to shower, copsing onto the bed, her heart still pounding with fear.
Amara had something on her now. But what worried her more was whether Amara actually knew about her and Andrew, and what her next move should be.
With a heart full of anxiety, Fiona pulled the covers over herself and spent a restless night, unable to sleep.

The next day, Liliana called Andrew to ask how things were going.
Andrewy in bed, running a hand through his hair. "I talked to Finnian yesterday, but he doesn''t seem too keen on getting the marriage license. Don''t worry, I''ll have another serious talk with him. He''ll listen to me."
Andrew wasn''t a fool; he knew Finnian wouldn''t listen to him, but he didn''t want to lose face in front of Liliana.
Liliana yed along politely. "Thank you, Mr. Everly. I''ll be waiting for your good news." After she hung up, her expression immediately soured.
She knew she shouldn''t have pinned her hopes on Andrew. That old fool only cared about partying and living it up,pletely ignoring family matters. Why would Finnian ever listen to him?
She must have been out of her mind to ask him for help.
Liliana thought it over and decided Emma was a more reliable bet. After all, her marriage to Finnian was Emma''s doing in the first ce. She had to find a way to work through Emma.
After getting out of bed, she went to the kitchen and personally prepared a box of exquisite pastries before heading to Emma''s house.
"Mrs. Everly, I made some pastries for you. They''re all your favorites. I hope you like them."
Liliana carefully arranged the
pastries on a te, brewed a pot of
tea, and poured a cup for Emma,
handing it to her with
most
respect. It was clear she was doing everything she could to serve her.
Emma, who loved being the center of attention, was incredibly pleased by Liliana''s careful ttery. It only reinforced her opinion that Libana was a wonderful daughter-inw.
Not only was Liliana beautiful with a morous career that made Emma look good
in public, but she was also so attentive at home. A daughter-inw like that was a rare find.
"Mm, these are delicious," she remarked, graciously taking a bite.
Liliana smiled, but her expression quickly turned bitter. "Mrs. Everly, after I went home, I couldn''t stop thinking about it. Finnian won''t get the license with me because of
Amara. He must still have feelings fort
her. Marrying me was probably just a matter of convenience for him."
For Emma, the name "Amara” was like a trigger. Her brow furrowed instantly. "It''s
that little bitch Amara again!"
Though angry, she felt Liliana had a point.
If it weren''t for Amara, Finnian would have obediently gotten the marriage license with Liliana. The root of the problem was, and always had been, Amara.
Seeing that Emma shared her animosity, Liliana continued, “If only Amara wasn''t in the picture. If she were gone, Finnian would definitely marry me."
“He used to be so grateful for what I did for him, but because of Amara, he''s willing to ignore even that..."
"You''re right. If only that little bitch didn''t exist. Last time was a perfect opportunity to get rid of her. Who would have thought we''d fail?"
