After a bit of yful bickering, Amara''s eyes were drawn to the dark night outside. A car was approaching from a distance, and it pulled over at the entrance of the Everly estate.
Even though it was dark, the moonlight faintly illuminated the scene. Amara could see that there were two people in the car, a man and a woman, in the driver and passenger seats.
And after the car stopped, the two people actually leaned into each other and began to kiss deeply.
Amara''s eyes widened, and she stared fixedly at the couple locked in a passionate kiss, her expression one of utter disbelief.
Keith had also noticed the kissing couple. Seeing Amara''s strong reaction, he asked curiously, "Who is that? Do you know them?"
"No, I don''t. I just think it''s a bit scandalous for them to be kissing on the side of the road in the middle of the night."
Amara averted her gaze, trying to calm her racing heart.
Keith rolled his eyes at her. "What''s so scandalous about it? I thought you were pretty open-minded. When did you be so old-fashioned?"
Amara smiled. "People change. Can''t I change?"
She was just saying that to cover up her shock. Her heart was still pounding, and her palms were sweaty.
She nced again at the couple kissing in the car up ahead. When Keith wasn''t looking, she secretly took out her phone and snapped a few photos.
After taking the pictures, Amara put her phone away. "Alright, you should head back. It''s gettingte, and I need to get some sleep."
Keith nodded. "Okay, I''m off then. I''ll let you know if there''s any news."
As she watched Keith drive away, Amara turned and went back to her room. She locked the door, took out her phone, and looked at the photos she had just taken. Her heart was still racing.
The people in the photos were none other than Fiona and Andrew. She had been so shocked to see them How had those two, who seemed to have no connection whatsoever, gotten together? And they were kissing in a car on the side of the road in the middle of the night.
Although Keith had met Fiona once, he didn''t know her well. It was dark, and the view wasn''t very clear, so he hadn''t recognized her.
As for Andrew, Keith had probably only heard his name but had never met him, which is why he hadn''t recognized him either.
Amara held up her phone and examined the photos. Since the two were kissing, only their profiles were visible. Amara was about ny percent certain that the woman was Fiona.
To be sure, she sent a message to her informant in the Sullivan household: "Are you awake? Do you know what Mrs. Sullivan is doing right now?"
The informant was awake and replied quickly: "Mrs. Sullivan went to a ss reunion today. She hasn''te back yet."
It was after midnight, and Fiona still wasn''t home. That confirmed that the person she had seen outside was indeed Fiona. Amara waspletely stunned.
She never would have imagined that Fiona would dare to cheat, and with Andrew, who had only recently returned to the country. How did those two even meet?
Amara thought for a moment and sent another message: "Talk to the other staff at the house and help me find out what the rtionship between my father and Mrs. Sullivan is like. Then let me know."
For years, Larry had treated Fiona and Elowen so well, while treating her, his
supposed only biological daughter, so poorly.
But when it came to dividing the
inheritance, Larry had given thergest share to her, while Fiona and Elowen received only a pitifully small amount. Why? Amara had been pondering this for days and still had no answer.
