Chapter 550

Now, she couldn''t help but wonder: could it be that Larry knew Fiona was cheating and that''s why he no longer wanted to be so good to her?

No, that wasn''t right. If he had caught Fiona cheating, with Larry''s macho pride, he would have divorced her long ago. He wouldn''t have tolerated being cheated on.

Amara felt that the situation was bing more and more mysterious.

The next morning, the informant sent her a message: "Miss Sullivan, the staff did a big clean-up today. I asked around, and everyone says that the rtionship between Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan is just so-so."

"It seems Mr. Sullivan doesn''t dote on Mrs. Sullivan as much as he used to. They sometimes argue, but they always close the door, so we can only hear snippets. No one really knows what''s going on between them. I''m sorry."

Amara replied with a "no problem" and put down her phone.

She hadn''t really expected to get a definitive answer from the staff. After all, a couple''s affairs are private, and the household staff would certainly not be privy to any major issues.

She wanted to investigate Fiona and Andrew, but she didn''t have the connections. She needed to ask someone for help. But who?

One name instantly came to mind: Finnian.

Not only was Finnian well-connected and could likely find information easily, but more importantly, he was Andrew''s son. He had a direct stake in the matter she was investigating, so it was only logical to ask for his help.

With that in mind, Amara immediately got ready, grabbed her keys and phone, and left the old mansion.

Amara drove to the Everly Group. As soon as she walked in, people turned to look at her, their eyes filled with a hint of surprise.

Amara ignored the stares and walked up to the front desk. "I''d like to see your chairman. Could you please let him know?"

The receptionist was new and didn''t know who Amara was. She only thought that this girl was incredibly beautiful, so beautiful it was dazzling.

When she heard Amara''s request, she snapped back to reality and was about to say, "Mr. Everly doesn''t see outside guests," when Will strode over. He stopped in front of the beautiful girl and said respectfully, "Ms. Sullivan, are you here to see Mr. Everly?"

"I''d like to see Finnian. Does he have time right now?"

As the new receptionist stared in astonishment, Will nodded. "Mr. Everly has time. I''ll take you up."

Ms. Sullivan was here to see Mr. Everly of her own ord? This was unprecedented. Mr. Everly would be over the moon when he found out.

And even if Mr. Everly didn''t have time, he would have to say he did...

Will''s expression remained neutral, but his mind was already racing with scenarios.

He led Amara, under the watchful

    eyes of everyone, into the

    chairman''s private elevator and up

to the chairman''s office. "Please wait a moment, I''ll go in ando announce you."

    "Okay."

Amara waited patiently. In less than half a minute, the door in front of her opened. Finnian stood in the doorway, his eyes fixed on her.

    "You''re looking for me?"

Without waiting for her to answer, Finnian took her by the wrist and pulled her inside. Then he nced at Will.

Will understood immediately, lowered his head, and left, thoughtfully closing the door behind them.

Finnian led Amara to the sofa and had her sit down, personally pouring her a cup of hot tea.

Seeing how attentive he was, Amara felt a little ufortable. "Mr. Everly, have something I''d like to

ask for your help with. like ne

    was

    -wondering if you''re avable...

Finnian''s expression didn''t change, but inside, a little spark of joy ignited in his chest. He asked, What is it? I''mpletely free right now."

Amara took out the photo she had taken the night before and held it out to Finnian.
