Chapter 3094

    ?Chapter 3094:

“It will not.” Ernest shook his head, a frown settling on his face. “I already exined. Linda has been sent to prison.”

Savannah answered with an icy stare. “Linda may be out of the picture. But who can say another person like her won’t show up? There could be more of them, one after another.”

“Sorry?” Ernest blinked in disbelief, struggling to ept what Savannah was implying.

Savannah released a harsh, humorlessugh. “I might be the only family Elissa has here. But what about you? Couples are the least dependable bond anyone can rely on.”

Love had a way of vanishing, and once it did, even two close souls could drift apart like strangers.

Somehow, Ernest found himself without a single word. No argument came to mind.

“Then…” His thoughts raced to their son. “What about Locke? He’s her child. He’ll always look after his own mother.”

    “Yeah!”

Savannah gave a firm nod, and that brief reaction made Ernest believe he had finally persuaded her.

But she hit him with a harsh reminder. “Locke is your son too.”

    ???????? ?????????? ???????? ???? ???????????? ???? ??????????????????.??????

    “Mrs. Brown…”

“That’s it!” Savannah pressed her palm to her forehead as she shook her head. “Whatever you say won’t matter. I will never hand her over to you.”

She lifted her gaze without warning and fixed her eyes on him. “Aren’t you even slightly afraid?”

“What?” Ernest stared at her in confusion.

Savannah nced toward the upper floor and spoke in a lowered voice. “The doctor said her condition might never improve. But what if he’s wrong? You’ve seen how her memoriese and go. What if she starts recalling fragments? If even a small part returns and she remembers that you abandoned her, treated her like some hidden secret, and allowed your fiancée to destroy her life—what do you think she’ll do?”

Savannah’s fury seeped into her voice. “Aren’t you worried she’ll seek revenge?”

“Mrs. Brown!” Ernest’s expression darkened at once. He shook his head. “First, I never supported anything Linda did. And second,” he said with firmness, “I admit I cared for her in the wrong way before. But I am willing to change.”

Savannah simply answered with a cold, bitterugh. “Change all you want. It doesn’t matter to me. The only thing I’ll make sure of is that you never get another chance.”

She rose from her seat with sudden force. “Where is Elissa staying?”

She intended to bring her home that very moment.

“Mrs. Brown!” Ernest stepped in front of her and blocked her path. “I know you’re upset, but right now, shouldn’t we think about Elissa’s wishes and ask what she wants since this is her life?”

He hesitated for a second and steadied himself. “You’ve noticed it by now. Elissa has feelings for me.”

Savannah let out a sharp sneer. “Feelings? She barely understands her own identity.”

She cut her hand through the air. “Get out of the way.”

    “Mrs. Brown!”

At that moment, the sound of footsteps drifted down from the second floor.

Both of them went still and turned their gaze upward.

Elissa came out of the bedroom and made her way toward them. When she caught both of their staring eyes, she sped her hands in unease.

    “Mom.”

“Elissa!” Savannah rushed around Ernest and caught her daughter’s hand. “I’m here to bring you home. We’re leaving.”

Elissa followed as her mother tugged her forward, but she lifted her gaze toward Ernest with clear reluctance.

“Elissa.” Ernest offered her a soft, forting smile.

“Ernest.” Elissa held tighter to her mother’s hand.

    Savannah stopped in surprise.

“Mom…” Elissa’s eyes filled with tears before she could form the rest of her words. “Can I… can I please—”

“No!” Savannah cut in before Elissa could finish. “That’s enough! You’re confused right now because of what he told you. Think of it as a dream. Wake up from it now ande home with me.”
