?Chapter 3087:
His approach was straightforward and transactional.
Elissa couldn’t help but feel bad for Emma, who had always been such a sweet person.
When he noticed her eyes lingering on him, Ernest gave her hand a gentle squeeze. “What’s making you look at me like that?”
“You’re very handsome.” Elissa angled her head a little and offered him a small smile with her lips pressed together.
Ernest let out a warmugh. “I already figured that out.”
Ever since he arrived in Ontmond, she had repeated thatpliment more than once.
She never used to speak that boldly before. Her words had grown more opentely.
Of course, he still cared for her in every version she showed him.
“The day after tomorrow, make sure you bundle up. Also, you don’t have to eat breakfast beforehand,” Ernest said with care.
“Why not?” she asked.

“Because…”
The doorbell suddenly chimed.
Ernest walked over to open it and saw Emma standing outside. He got right to the point. “Miss Carrillo, I need your assistance with something. Let me exin.”
Elissa remained at his side, offering Emma a shy smile.
“Oh, alright…” After hearing everything, Emma epted immediately. “That’s fine. It won’t be any trouble.”
“Emma,” Elissa said, believing she was the one creating the burden. “I feel like I keep leaning on you.”
“It’s really alright!” Emma brushed off the concern. “I’m free these days, and I’m d to help you before I leave for Srixby…” She looked at their linked hands and gave a yful smile. “For all we know, we might even end up going to Srixby together.”
Elissa turned red. “Emma…”
Ernest found the suggestion charming.
Hadley remained Elissa’s onlypanion in Srixby, and having Emma nearby would make her days there far more cheerful.
“Okay!”
Emmaughed at the sight of Elissa’s warm cheeks and gave a yful wave. “I won’t tease you anymore!” She extended her hand toward Elissa. “Come along! I should take you home now. If we stay out longer, Mrs. Brown will start asking questions!”
“Thank you,” Ernest said as he released Elissa’s hand and entrusted her care to Emma.
“It’s really nothing, Mr. Flynn. Goodbye!” Emma wrapped her arm around Elissa’s and lowered her voice while leading her toward the car. “Did you two finally make up?”
“Yes.”
“That’s wonderful… You shouldn’t feel shy about it. When two people care for each other, it’s something to be happy about!”
Sharing a feeling with someone who returned it truly was a lovely thing.
Back at the manor.
As anyone could have guessed, Savannah had already grown restless.
“Mrs. Brown! I brought Elissa home!” Emma called out while gently tugging Elissa along as they hurried from the foyer into the living room.
