Chapter 3086

    ?Chapter 3086:

What was Elissa supposed to say to something like that?

The decision to leave the house never rested in her hands. Hadn’t he realized that by now?

She only managed to step outside these recent few times because Emma helped her do so.

Savannah carried a constant worry about Elissa, and she never let her go anywhere on her own. Savannah also disliked the idea of Elissa and Ernest being together. If she discovered that Elissa was nning to meet Ernest, she would probably keep her inside the house for the rest of her life.

    Ernest already understood this.

“What I really want to know is if you want to see me,” he said.

He only cared about her honest answer.

    ????a??е у?????? ????v????????e?? f?????? ????????о????????.??о??

Elissa pressed her lips together and gave a small shake of her head. “I can’t do that.”

“Why not?” Ernest shut his eyes for a moment and opened them again. She had just told him she cared about him, hadn’t she?

Elissa’s brows knitted together with annoyance. “The doctor told you to rest.”

He was supposed to remain in the hospital until the next day, since that wouldplete the full twenty-four hours of observation.

“Oh.” Ernest seemed to grasp the situation, and he allowed his guarded expression to ease. She had been worried about him after all.

“Alright. I’ll do what you say.” He touched her cheek with a gentle sweep of his fingers. “We can forget about tomorrow.”

She had already snuck out twice today, and doing it again tomorrow would draw Savannah’s attention.

“Maybe we can try meeting the day after tomorrow,” he said.

He felt certain he couldst one full day without seeing her, but stretching it any longer seemed impossible.

“Alright.” Elissa gave a firm nod.

If everything depended solely on her desire to see him, she would choose to meet him without hesitation.

“Perfect.” A warm smile reached Ernest’s eyes. “I’ll speak with Emma once she arrives.”

“But…” Elissa paused for a moment. She disliked the idea of troubling Emma again.

“There’s no need to worry about that,” Ernest said, offering his reassurance.

“The Carrillo family and I maintain ongoing business connections, and I can settle the favorter on.”

He disliked being indebted to anyone, and he had no intention of letting Emma help without receiving something in return.

“Okay.” Elissa listened quietly, stealing a few shy nces at him.

She remembered what Emma had mentioned before. Even someone like her, who rarely caught on quickly, felt the truth of those words.

Emma had been right. He never noticed how she felt about him, nor did he entertain the thought. Otherwise, he would not talk about settling things with business arrangements.
