?Chapter 2992:
Hadley had barely left the bed for the whole flight. At first, she was lost in passion with Eric. Later, she drifted off into a heavy sleep.
When she stirred again, still half-dreaming, an itch crawled up her calf.
“Eric!” Hadley mumbled, not even cracking an eye open. She kicked at the air and muttered, “Do not get any ideas, or I’ll throw you out.”
“I didn’t,” Eric said, his voice trembling withughter. He slipped an arm around her waist and lifted her with ease.
Startled, Hadley frowned. “What are you doing?”
“It’s time to wake up,” Eric muttered, pressing a gentle kiss to her lips. “We’vended.”
“What did you say?” Hadley’s brow furrowed in confusion. “We’vended?” she asked, her eyes barely open.
“That’s right,” Eric whispered, brushing a kiss against her eyelids. “Still feel like sleeping? Want me to help you get ready?”
“No, don’t bother.” Hadley let out a tired yawn and waved a hand. “Just hand me my clothes.”

“Which ones?” Eric asked as he carried her into the walk-in closet and set her before the wardrobe. “Why don’t you pick for yourself?”
“Alright,” Hadley said, motioning toward the door with a firm hand. “You can step out now.”
Eric’s brow arched in amusement. She was actually kicking him out?
“Fine,” he said with a lowugh, clearly entertained by her demand.
Hadley had no idea what ce they had arrived in, but the closet full of light fabrics and sundresses told her enough—it had to be somewhere warm and coastal.
After slipping into her outfit, she let Eric take her hand, and together they stepped outside.
“So, where exactly are we?” Hadley asked, curiosity sparking in her tone.
“We’re in Sageley, capital city of Wheelkarta,” Eric answered simply.
“Wheelkarta?” Hadley’s eyes narrowed in disbelief.
Eric nced at her with a teasing smile tugging at his lips. “Not bad, right?”
Her surprise melted into delight. “It’s perfect!” Hadley eximed, eyes lighting up as dimples formed at the corners of her mouth.
“I absolutely love it!” she added.
A sleek car waited, ready to take them to a grand hotel built within the walls of an ancient castle.
The car moved at azy pace, letting the ocean breeze sweep through the open windows. Sunlight poured over the city like warm honey, gilding everything it touched.
While the scenery passed by, Hadley pulled out her phone and began scrolling.
Curious, Eric shot her a sidelong nce. “What’s caught your attention this time?”
“Just reading a few travel tips and guides,” Hadley said without looking up.
A quietugh escaped him before Eric leaned in to kiss the top of her head. “You do realize I wouldn’t have brought you here without a n, right?”
“Fair point.” Tilting her head with a yful grin, Hadley stuck out her tongue before tucking her phone away. She rested her cheek against his chest. “So, what made you pick this ce?”
“I figured it was time we had a real date,” Eric said, his brow lifting slightly.
Seriously?
Hadley grinned as she realized how much effort Eric had poured into nning their date.
