Chapter 2964

    ?Chapter 2964:

“It’s still a little early to be talking about that,” Hadley deflected.

But N wasn’t about to let the subject slip. “It’s not! What matters now is you and Eric holding a wedding. So, what are your ns?”

N continued, “The weather’s scorching these days. In two months, autumn will settle in, and the air will be crisp, perfect for a wedding. Don’t you think?”

“N…” Hadley finally seized a moment to respond, shaking her head gently. “We don’t have any ns.”

“What?” N was caught off guard. “What do you mean, no ns?”

N frowned in confusion. “The wedding ns were already underway before you broke up. Now that you two finally made up, shouldn’t you…”

She’d been personally helping with those preparations months ago. So why was Hadley iming there were no wedding ns?

“Actually…” Hadley bit her lip, honesty slipping through. “Eric hasn’t mentioned it to me. He didn’t say anything.”

Who could she discuss it with?

    “What?” N’s surprise doubled.

    ??????’?? ??i???? ?????? ??elеas??s о?? ??????nove??s.c????

    Eric hadn’t mentioned it? Impossible.

    But it was true.

Even Hadley was unclear about Eric’s thoughts on the matter.

Not long ago, when their rtionship had been on rocky ground, Eric had pressed for marriage again and again, proposing multiple times.

Now, with peace restored between them, he was silent.

“Miss Pearson.” Kira’s voice came from the dining room entrance as she gave Hadley a nod.

Hadley instantly understood there was business to handle.

    “I’ming.”

She set down her utensils and dabbed her lips with a napkin. “I’ll be back soon, and we’ll go for a walk together.”

    “Alright, go on.”

Knowing Hadley had important matters to deal with, N waved her off, a faint frown creasing her brow.

“Kira,” Hadley said briskly as she stepped out. “What is it?”

    They talked as they walked.

“A few days ago, you mentioned wanting more trees nted in the garden. Some samples have arrived. You should take a look and decide.”

    “Good, let’s see them.”

As Hadley walked off, N sat lost in her thoughts. She figured it was about time she had a real talk with Eric about the wedding.

    That evening, Eric returned home.

He had an appointment scheduledter and came back briefly to gather some things he’d left behind and get changed before heading out again.

As he stepped out of his room, N was waiting right there.

    “Oh, Grandma!”

Startled by the sight of N in her wheelchair, Eric blurted, “You scared the life out of me!”

“Scared?” N scoffed, ring. “Isn’t that a first? Who could possibly be braver than you? Now, I want a word with you.”

She had gotten wind of his return from a maid and had wheeled herself there deliberately to catch him.

“Let’s talk in your room.” With that, she wheeled herself inside.

“Grandma.” Eric frowned in confusion but followed her in. “What’s going on?”

She stopped in the middle of the room and gestured to the sofa. “Sit. My neck gets sore looking up at you like this.”

“Alright.” Eric obeyed, taking a seat.

“I need to ask you something,” N began, her tone edged with impatience. “Do you have no intention of getting married?”

Eric froze, startled by the bluntness. “Of course not! Why would you even think that?”

“Hmm… So you do n on getting married?” Her eyes narrowed.

“Of course!” Eric chuckled. “I’ve had marriage on my mind for a long time now—it’s hardly a secret.”

    “Good.”

Hearing this, N finally felt a small weight lift off her chest. She then pressed on, “Then why hasn’t Hadley heard a word from you about it?”
