?Chapter 2734:
“Right now, waiting is all I’m capable of… and staying hopeful is all that’s left to me.”
Was he still struggling inside?
It was easy to understand why he felt that way.
Hadley felt his worry deeply.
“I’ll head back here right away once I’m finished.”
Eric’s expression lit up at her words.
“Alright. I’ll be waiting.”
When their meal ended, the caregiver arrived and quietly gathered the tes.
Rising from her chair, Hadley got ready to leave.
Eric walked beside her until they reached the doorway.
“I’m going now.”
“Alright.”
With her bag swung across her shoulder, Hadley stepped outside.
“Hadley.”
Hadley turned her head to look at him again.
“It’s nothing…” Eric offered a tender smile.
“Just drive safely. Take care of what you need to do… then hurry back to me.”
Hadley gave a lightugh and tilted her head.
“You’re such a nag.”
Eric only chuckled, his eyes resting warmly on her.
“I’ll be here waiting.”
“Alright then! I’m heading out!”
As she stepped out of the hospital, a tight weight pressed against Hadley’s chest.

Although she had urged Eric to keep his hopes up, her own heart carried the same unrest.
Jett and E had remained in Ferris’ hands for days, and still, there was silence from Bianca.
Was it possible she had never received the message that Ferris had her children? Or worse, had she chosen to ignore it?
If it was thetter, everything ahead would only spiral into greater trouble.
On the drive to the studio, Hadley forced her attention on the tasks ahead.
By two in the afternoon, her final voiceover session wrapped up. Once she stepped outside, she dug through her bag until her fingers closed around the car keys.
Since Sebastian hadn’te with her, she wouldter have to pick up the car from the garage herself.
As the elevator made its stops, more people crowded inside, and Hadley shrank back into the corner.
When the doors slid shut again, the ride continued downward. At the ground floor, the passengers scattered quickly into the lobby.
Near the back of the group, Hadley trailed behind—until her eyes caught on something that made her freeze.
Was that real?
Her chest seized with panic, and in the next breath, her feet carried her into a sudden sprint.
Her strides quickened until her breath turned uneven.
