?Chapter 1461:
Jessica’s gaze shifted past him. It was all her favorite dishes.
Before she could tease him or pinch his cheek for being sweet, he stepped forward and revealed a bouquet of flowers.
His lips pressed together, eyes focused entirely on her. “A gift for the second day of being together,” he said, almost awkwardly.
Jessica’s lips curved into a soft smile as she epted the flowers.
From that moment on, Melvin showed with steady care, proving each day through small acts that he was here to stay. Half a month passed before they even realized it.
That night, they were out on a dinner date at a cozy little spot, a restaurant known for catering to couples.
Looking at the sharp, ridiculously handsome man across from her, Jessica tilted her head. “Come sit next to me.”
“H-Hm?”
“Sit beside me,” she repeated, patting the seat.
Melvin was slightly confused, but he moved over without question.
Jessica grabbed his hand, intertwined their fingers, and snapped a picture. “Post this,” she said, sending the photo to his phone as she started drafting her own caption. “Once you propose, we’ll set a wedding date.” Melvin followed her lead without argument.
Staring at the photo she sent, he hesitated. “Should we post a photo of us?”
“No need. We’ll do that after the wedding,” Jessica said lightly, already thinking ahead. “If I post one now, I’d have to edit it first. Too much work.”
“You’re beautiful. No need for edits,” Melvin said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“You are so sweet, but still no.” She kept typing, adding casually, “All my past posts were carefully edited. If I suddenly post something raw, people will mock.”
Melvin blinked, speechless. They were edited?
He opened his mouth to argue, only to ask something risky. “I always thought your posts looked just like you in real life.”

“I’ll give you one more chance to rephrase that,” Jessica said, cracking her knuckles.
“I meant, you look even better in real life!” Melvin corrected himself quickly. “Next time I take your picture, you won’t need edits.”
Jessica was just about to roast his nonexistent photography skills when her phone buzzed.
One message after another popped up on the screen, all from a socialite she didn’t like.
“So you’ve got a boyfriend now?”
“Don’t tell me you posed with your own hand and set a timer with your teeth.”
“Can’t even show his face?”
Jessica stared at the screen, eyes narrowing.
Without missing a beat, she pressed record and fired back with a voice note. “Heard you broke up recently. Want me to set you up? I can help you end that dry spell.”
