?Chapter 1172:
“I’m so happy for them!”
“Greta, Riley, Frederick!” Moss marched over, calling each of their names like an officer taking roll. “You backstabbers!”
Greta nced up, meeting his stare. “Backstabbers? Really?”
“Yes, exin it!” Riley and Frederick echoed her with matching indignation.
Moss cast a look toward the over-the-top proposal, his face a mix of irritation and resignation. “We were supposed to help Ellis propose, and you went behind his back to tell Freya.”
“Bit underhanded, don’t you think?” Cade chimed in.
“Giving away Ellis’s n… You three are braver than I thought,” Trent said coolly, though his suspicion was obvious.
Same day and same time for their proposals? No sane person could believe this was just a coincidence.
“Who said we gave anything away?” Greta shot back, quick and sharp. “Freya decided the twelfth first.”
“Exactly!”
“If we hadn’t told the captain, he wouldn’t have decided to propose today.”
“We all deserve credit for the sess of this proposal.”
“I get it, you’re salty Freya didn’t tell you anything,” Greta added with a sly smile. “But that’s not our fault. Maybe me it on how cozy you’ve gotten with Trenttely.”
Everyone knew just how close Trent and Ellis were.
And even if it had been Freya on the other end, when it came to proposals, Trent would tell Ellis her ns without a second thought. That was a fact no one could deny.
“Ellis, wasn’t that a little rushed?” Ethan and Alyssa stepped forward, their teasing smiles unmistakable. “You even used Freya’s drones and fireworks.”
Originally, they had nned to deliver flowers to Ellis. But Ellis’s unexpected maneuver had disrupted the whole setup, skipping over multiple parts of the proposal.

Ellis raised an eyebrow, keeping Freya’s hand gently in his own. “You wouldn’t have had the chance to use them anyway.”
Well then. Alyssa and Ethan were thoroughly stumped.
“I haven’t even given you my ring yet…” Freya bit her lower lip, still clutching the band she had designed especially for Ellis.
Ellis extended his hand, his smile unusually soft. “I’d be honored if you could put it on for me.”
Freya’s eyes sparkled as she smiled. Without hesitation, she slid the ring onto his finger.
“Are the drones all cleared?” Ellis nced toward the sky—no more blue lights in sight. Freya nodded.
They had tailored the entire setup so that the fireworks were wlessly synchronized with the drone patterns. That way, they could enjoy the mesmerizing aerial formations and a stunning fireworks spectacle all at once. More importantly, the upgraded drones were built to handle flight amidst fireworks, without the risk of malfunction or safety issues.
