?Chapter 1171:
At that exact moment, a fleet of glowing blue drones lit up the night sky, moving with perfect precision ording to the program Freya had written.
Ellis felt his chest tighten.
Momentster, the drones assembled into a familiar figure above them: the emblem of their shared organization, recognized by all who had served. After lingering for a good ten seconds, the drones shifted again—this time forming two stick figures, one male and one female, standing at attention, saluting the emblem together.
Not a single word was needed—yet Ellis’s heart stirred deeply. He understood her message loud and clear—whether or not he ever returned to the organization, she would be there, guarding that home with him, side by side.
“Holy cow!”
“What the heck is going on?”
“Isn’t it obvious? Mina’s proposing to Ellis!”
“Wait, hold up—I thought he was supposed to do the proposing!”
As murmurs and whispers rippled through the crowd, the drones suddenly erupted into a grand disy of fireworks. Brilliant bursts of color lit up the sky—each one more breathtaking than thest.
Standing beneath the luminous explosions, Freya began her proposal. She took the ring from the hovering drone, her nerves tangling together as she asked, “Ellis Lambert, will you—”
“Not so fast,” Ellis cut in without warning.
He gently ced a finger against her lips, halting her mid-sentence. He believed a proposal was the man’s duty.
As she stood frozen, wide-eyed, Ellis reached into his pocket, drew out a velvet ring box, and flipped it open before her. In that moment, everything snapped into ce.
“When I was twenty-two, I met a woman—she caught my eye the first time, sparked my interest the second time, and stole my heart the third time.” He lowered himself onto one knee, his voice deep andced with quiet emotion. “That woman was you, just joining the organization.”
Freya stood still as stone.

Ellis’s gaze was filled with such tenderness it nearly made her breath hitch. “I want to give you a life full of happiness, and protect you from every burden. Freya, will you marry me?”
Above them, the fireworks reached their crescendo, lighting the sky with a dreamlike glow.
Cheers erupted around them.
“Say yes!”
“Say yes!”
“Say yes!”
The chant grew louder, pulsing through the crowd like a drumbeat.
Framed by the fireworks, Freya lifted her eyes and, with a warmth that softened every word, said, “I do.”
Ellis slipped the ring onto her finger, then gently pressed a kiss to the back of her hand. “She said yes!”
