Chapter 1173

    ?Chapter 1173:

“Then,” Ellis murmured, casting a quick nce at Trent before turning to Freya with a quiet smile, “how about I show you a meteor shower?”

“A meteor shower?” Freya blinked, confusion flickering across her face. Ellis didn’t bother exining. Instead, he simply tilted his head toward the star-speckled sky above.

Trent gave the order right away, and within moments, the heavens came alive—streaks of light shooting across the night like silver brushstrokes on a velvet canvas.

“Oh my gosh! A meteor shower?!”

    “Ellis nned this?”

“How on earth did he pull it off?”

    Everyone stood frozen,pletely blindsided.

That definitely hadn’t been in the mission briefing.

“This is…” Freya’s voice trailed off, her expression stunned.

She had only ever seen meteor showers in videos—never in person.

Yet what danced above them now looked astonishingly real. Almost too perfect.

“This meteor shower is for you,” Ellis gently squeezed her hand, his voice soft and full of quiet emotion. “From now on, I’ll make every wishe true for you.”

“That’s so sweet.” Freya’s chest tightened with tangled emotions.

Ellis simply gave her a faint, content smile.

That evening, the breathtaking firework show alongside the dazzling meteor disy etched itself into the memory of everyone present.

Once the spectacle ended, Ellis guided the group to a dinner already waiting at the far edge of thewn. Everything had been perfectly arranged by the staff in advance.

After they left, a shadow stirred. It was Kristian, his gaze locked on their retreating silhouettes. His expression was unreadable, eyes shadowed with strain. No one noticed he’d been there at all.

While Freya and Ellis dined beneath the open sky, the proposal footage from earlier that night was already spreading like wildfire online. Before long, it had climbed the trending charts. But Freya and her friends had no idea.

At that moment, Freya was still seated at the dinner table—Ellis on her left, with Farrah, Ethel, and Hugh to her right.

Ethel watched as Ellis kept refilling Freya’s te, her yful eyes glowing with delight.

Her sister had finally found her happiness.

At exactly ten o’clock, everyone made their way home.

Freya and Ellis returned as well. As he held her hand and led her inside, her curiosity stirred. “Can I ask you something?”

“Before you do,” Ellis said, pulling her down onto the sofa with a sly grin, his voice low and teasing, “let’s talk about how you lied to me. I never would’ve thought you could be such a good liar. You actually fooled me.”
