?Chapter 1153:
Felipe knew he wasn’t wanted there—but that didn’t matter. If he wanted any shot at winning her back, he’d have to grow a thicker skin.
If he didn’t have the nerve to stick around shamelessly, he’d never stand a chance with Farrah again.
For the rest of the day, Farrah stayed upstairs, reading over her script while Felipe sat alone in the living room like an uninvited guest.
He kept ncing up at the stairs before finally pulling out his phone and messaging Kristian. “Tell me first—can you handle the truth?”
Kristian replied, “Just say it.”
Felipe hesitated, then typed, “Ellis is nning to propose to Freya.”
Kristian froze, his fingers clenching around the phone.
Felipe added, “If the proposal goes through, it means they’re in it for life. You won’t get another shot.”
Dating was one thing—a trial run, a test.
But a sessful proposal? That meant Freya genuinely wanted to marry Ellis. Neither of them were the type to backtrack. Once they made up their minds, there was no turning back.
To Kristian, those words hit like needles to the eye. He had never proposed to Freya. He hadn’t even given her the romance she deserved.
His slender fingers hovered over the keyboard, then typed slowly, “When?”
“The 12th. I couldn’t get the exact time.”
“Got it.”
After that, Kristian set the phone down and slumped into his chair, his mind spiraling through the memories of what he once had shared with Freya. That newspletely threw off the rest of his day. By the time work ended, he called Gerard in and asked him to attend the meeting on the 12th in his ce. He hadn’t been able to propose to Freya—but at the very least, he wanted to witness her happiness.
Gerard could sense something was off, but he didn’t ask. He didn’t know the full story anyway, and he knew better than to pry.
Time flew. In what felt like the blink of an eye, it was already the 10th.

Ellis had sent out invites to everyone who mattered to Freya.
He’d even wanted to include her aunt as well, but she’d said she wouldn’te for the proposal—only for the wedding.
As for Freya, she’d contacted the people who mattered to Ellis.
She’d initially nned to invite Caldwell and Kendra too—until she casually tested the waters and found out he didn’t want them there when she proposed. When she asked him why, he replied, “If they see you proposing to me, they’ll think I let you lead all the time.” After that, she let it go.
As for Ethan and Alyssa, Ellis didn’t particrly care either way.
“You asking all this because you’re nning to propose to me?” Ellis caught on quickly after her line of questions.
“I’ve thought about it,” Freya offered a nomittal answer, clearly trying to throw him off track. “But I really don’t know what kind of proposal would suit your taste.”
