Chapter 1153

    ?Chapter 1153:

“She saw the news article. She’sing to confront you!”

His expression changed instantly. He held Jillian tighter, his jaw clenching. “What article?” he demanded.

The assistant didn’t respond, but a secondter, a link to the headline appeared on his phone.

When Alexis opened it, all the color drained from his face.

“What’s wrong, Mr. Gibson?” Jillian asked, slipping her arms around his neck.

Before he could reply, a sharp voice rang from the doorway.

“Alexis! Come out here right now!”

Panicking, Alexis shoved Jillian aside. “Sweetheart! What are you doing here?”

Katrina Gibson, his wife, marched in and pped him hard across the face. “I’ve supported you, stood by you—and this is how you thank me? By cheating on me with this lowlife? Are you tired of living?”

Without thinking, Alexis dropped to his knees, clutching Katrina’s leg as he broke into loud, messy sobs. “You know me better than anyone! I’d never do this on purpose! She threw herself at me—it was all her fault! If she hadn’te on to me, I wouldn’t have messed up like this. Please, forgive me, just this once. I promise it’ll never happen again!”

Katrina’s face softened slightly, though her eyes still burned with fury. “You let that tramp lure you in, and now the whole world knows! Do you even understand how embarrassed I am right now?”

As she continued tosh out at him, Alexis seized the chance to twist the story. “I swear, it was that strange woman’s n from the start. I had the whole third floor reserved, and she forced her way into my private room. She set me up!”

Katrina’s jaw tightened. “Who is she? I want everything on her.” She signaled to her assistant.

The assistant stepped forward and handed her a folder. “Mrs. Gibson, her name is Yvonne Jimenez. She’s the section editor at Stylist Magazine.”

Katrina let out a bitterugh. “Oh, so she thought she could dig up dirt on me and my husband? She messed with the wrong people.”

Jillian, thinking Katrina’s temper was fading, tried to speak.

But Katrina’s cold stare snapped toward her.

With a flick of her hand, she ordered, “Get her banned from the industry.”

Jillian copsed to the floor in shock and despair.

Katrina grabbed Alexis by the arm and dragged him out of the restaurant, cursing at him the entire way.

Hidden in the shadows, Shelly watched the scene unfold exactly as she had hoped, a quiet, satisfied smile ying on her lips.

Inside Katrina’s car, Alexis was back on his knees, crying and begging for forgiveness.

“Babe, I’ve really learned my lesson this time,” he pleaded. “Please give me another chance. I promise—I’ll never mess up again!”

Katrina shot him a cold look and let out a sharp scoff. “I’ll deal with Yvonne Jimenez first,” she said tly. “Then I’ll deal with you.”

Alexis’s face lit up with relief, knowing he was safe—for now.
