?Chapter 1154:
“Thank you, babe!” he said quickly. He tried to stand up in a hurry, only to sit back down again.
Katrina’s expression hadn’t softened. Seeing her tense face, Alexis sat up straight and began massaging her shoulders, hoping to calm her down.
Back at the house, Katrina sat like a queen on her throne. Alexis stood behind her, doing his best to look helpful and obedient. Her face turned serious as she addressed the group in front of her.
“Yvonne Jimenez needs to be taught a lesson,” she said.
Alexis didn’t bother to hide his anger. “Just eliminate her,” he said coldly.
Katrina shot him a nce from the corner of her eye. He quickly changed his tone, forcing a smile. “Anyone who dares to upset my wife should know there will be consequences,” he said carefully.
Katrina let out a quiet snort. She didn’t respond, but her silence was enough to show she agreed.
Alexis wiped his forehead, already sweating. Inwardly, he cursed Yvonne. If she hadn’t exposed his affair, his wife would have never found out about Jillian. She had to pay.
The staff took the hint and got to work immediately.
Horizon Entertainment was one of the biggest names in the business, and it didn’t take much for them to flip the script online. The moment Alexis’s affair began to gain attention, Katrina had stepped in to cover it up. Thepany’s media team knew exactly how to stir public opinion—or shut it down. They had years of experience shaping what people saw and believed.
The next day, Yvonne returned to work after taking a day off. But something felt off. Her coworkers were staring, whispering, and avoiding her gaze. She noticed, but chose not to react, keeping her focus on her usual tasks.
Then she spotted Margie across the room. Even she looked ufortable.
Margie walked over slowly. “Yvonne… you still came in today?”
Yvonne frowned. “Of course I did. Why wouldn’t I? Did something happen?”

Margie hesitated. “You haven’t checked the newstely, have you?”
Yvonne’s chest tightened. She pulled out her phone without a word.
Margie stood by, watching her with worried eyes.
Yvonne opened a news app—and froze. Her name was everywhere. She was trending under several ugly headlines: “Yvonne Jimenez Kept by a Rich Man”, “Yvonne Jimenez Using Men for Money”, “Yvonne Jimenez’s Work Drama Exposed”, and more, each one worse than thest.
She tapped on one of the threads, and insults immediately came flying at her from every direction. Her face went pale as she stared at the screen, stunned by the flood of viciousments.
Margie noticed her expression and quickly reached over to switch off her phone.
“Don’t read any more, Yvonne,” she said gently. “We all believe in you.”
Yvonne gave a faint smile. Herplexion was still pale, but there was a steady look in her eyes. “It’s okay. Let’s just get back to work.”
She sat down at her desk and focused on her tasks, doing her best to block out everything else.
Margie let out a quiet sigh and returned to her own seat, still ncing at Yvonne with concern from time to time.
