Chapter 1328

    ?Chapter 1328:

“What is it, sweetie?” Eileen sat back down, looking at Gabri with a puzzled expression.

Gabri sniffed, squatted down, and poked Eileen’s slightly rounded belly. “Mommy, is there a baby in your tummy?”

“Yes,” Eileen confirmed, carefully watching Gabri’s reaction. “It’s your little brother or sister. Do you like the idea?”

Eileen scrutinized Gabri’s every expression, her heart pounding a little when she saw Gabri frown slightly, deep in thought.

Bryan emerged from the kitchen, his brow furrowed as he approached the table, also observing Gabri’s reaction.

After a moment, Gabri said, “Mommy, is that why you get all the yummy food and the milk, and why Daddy’s being extra nice to you? Because of the baby?”

“Yes,” Ruby replied. “But it’s not just because of the baby. Your Daddy has always been nice to your Mommy, but now, he’s being even nicer.”

Gabri didn’t quite grasp the nuances of the exnation; she only focused on the word “yes.”

She dropped her fork, stood up, patted her tummy, and dered, “I have a baby in my tummy, too! I also want a big serving!”

Eileen and Bryan were rendered momentarily speechless.

Ruby’s lips twitched, amusement dancing in her eyes. Gabri wasn’t concerned about the baby; she just wanted topete with her mother for attention!

“I’ll eat meat, eggs, and stinky cheese!” Gabri said. “It’s smelly but yummy!” Gabri waved her arms excitedly, her little mouth babbling about all her favorite foods.

Eileen burst outughing, her shoulders shaking.

Bryan pointed to the fridge. “There’s enough for you. From now on, you can eat whatever your Mommy eats. But you’re still little, so don’t overdo it. Start with some spaghetti, and if you’re still hungry after that, I’ll get you some more.”

    “Okay!” Gabri chirped.

She dug into her spaghetti. Less than five minutester, she was done. She hesitated for a second, then hopped off her chair and ran barefoot into the living room. “My tummy’s tiny,” she dered. “I’m full! No more for me…”

    Eileen couldn’t help butugh.

The eastern suburb was recently developed, with hardly anyone living there yet.

Le and Ste went for a stroll, but they didn’t bump into any neighbors. Instead, they stumbled upon an open square where a group of olddies in costumes were practicing for some kind of performance.

Neither of them had seen anything like it before, so they stopped to watch. Ste, being a local, could understand their dialect and couldn’t resist joining in the chatter. Le just watched, only catching a few words here and there.

“Listen, once a woman marries your son, she’s part of your family. Why’s she going all the way here for Christmas?” one of thedies said.

“Her grandmother and mother are her family as well. But once she’s married, her husband’s family shoulde first!”
