    Eileen shook her head and replied, “She didn’t show up in public until after her marriage to Mr. Deleon.”


    “Miss Average,” Ste remarked without hesitation. “She doesn’te off as likable at first nce. Don’t take her to heart. Regarding Presley, I suspected she was untrustworthy back then, and I was proven correct.”


    “You know Presley?” Eileen asked, recalling that Jacob had informed her that the Dawson family had resolved the issues surrounding the rumors about Presley and Bryan. Within the family, who else but Ste could have managed that?


    Ste exined, “Bryan was quite young at the time. Having never had his parents around, he felt very isted. Presley was indeed quiet and well-mannered, fitting the profile of ady from a distinguished family. She appeared gentler than most, and she took good care of Bryan like a teacher.     Eileen was stunned for a moment. “She married her brother?” Indeed, Presley was brought into the Deleon family by her mother, making her not biologically rted to Javier. However, Javier’s son with Presley’s mother would be Presley’s half-brother.


    “Not exactly. Presley was adopted. They aren’t her biological parents,” Ste rified, having thoroughly investigated Presley’s background.

    “I heard about your recent troubles with the Deleon family. You shouldn’t worry about the Dawson family’s reputation. You should settle scores with them. Yet, why did you invite them here?” Ste asked, puzzled. This didn’t seem in character for Eileen.


    “I had asked Raymond to remove their names from the guest list, but somehow they still managed to attend the event. Perhaps they found some loopholes,” Eileen replied.


    “Impossible,” Ste said. “I personally selected the invitation design for this birthday celebration. They could only have gotten in if their names were on the actual invitation. Jarred was greeting guests at the gate.”
