?Chapter 1186:
No one was aware of how Ste had felt about the subdued wedding. A considerable amount of time had passed, yet Ste had never formally recognized Eileen’s and Gabri’s identities. Since the marriage, Eileen and Gabri had not lived in the Mansion. Could there be a hidden story unknown to all?
Everyone turned their gaze to Eileen.
“I see,” said Presley. “It must be difficult for Bryan, managing his only grandmother and looking after his wife simultaneously. If this continues… he might grow weary of it eventually. It’s intriguing to ponder whether he will choose his own grandmother or his wife.”
Eileen slightly lifted her eyelids, observing the smug expression on Presley’s face.
“What’s wrong with you? Your husband makes money for you and supports your family. Instead of worrying that your husband is exhausted, youe to my house to insinuate that he’s tired. Are you seeking a chance to have an extensive chat with my husband through the night to soothe him?” Eileen said mockingly.
Presley couldn’t stayposed anymore. “I’ve known Bryan for a while, so naturally, I am looking out for him. Don’t be unreasonable.”
“You two aren’t that close. Does he really need you to look out for him?” Eileen asked.
Presley found herself at a loss for words.
At that moment, Amoura intervened, saying, “Mrs. Dawson, even if you’re not weed by the Dawson family, you shouldn’t take it out on us. After all, we haven’t done anything to you.”
“I think you’re just spouting nonsense here,” Ste’s voice came from behind. Everyone turned to see Ste stepping forward from the crowd with Gabri by her side. By her expression, it was clear she had been there for some time and had overheard their conversation. The crowd parted, sensing the drama unfolding.

“This is a matter for the Dawson family. Since when is it your ce to judge?” Ste continued. “Whether I am pleased with Eileen or not, are you so blind that you can’t see for yourselves?” Ste stood before Amoura, looking her up and down several times.
This was indeed their first encounter, yet why did Amoura seem so familiar?
Ste said, “Eileen is outstanding and capable, handling both home and business affairs effortlessly. As long as I’m not blind, how could I not appreciate her?”
Gabri slipped from Ste’s grasp and ran into Eileen’s arms. With a beaming smile, Eileen lifted Gabri up.
Ste continued, “She has been a significant asset to our Dawson family, and she has given us such a charming granddaughter. I am delighted. Who would be so blind as to say I don’t cherish her?”
Amoura and Presley were left momentarily speechless. Presley looked at Amoura. Hadn’t Amoura imed to be well-informed about the Dawson family? Yet, it turned out Ste was quite fond of Eileen, contrary to what Amoura had said.
“Perhaps we were mistaken,” Amoura quicklyposed herself, grabbed a painting from a waiter behind her, and presented it to Ste. “I know you possess many treasures. Today, I offer you this memorable gift. Happy birthday. May you enjoy a long and healthy life.”
Ste had a fondness for scripts and paintings, yet few were aware of this.
