Chapter 930

    ?Chapter 930:

“Isn’t she our little heir in the making?” Eileen pointed at Gabri, who was watching Bryan intently as he prepared her food.

When Gabri noticed Eileen pointing at her, herrge, curious eyes darted between the two adults, as if silently asking, “What’s going on?”

After a moment of thought, Bryan said, “Haven’t you felt worn out running thepany all these years? Women just aren’t built for this kind of grind like men are.”

“Men?” Eileen blinked, cradling her bowl, catching on to his intent. She feigned ignorance.

“You’re right. Let’s skip the restaurant idea. You can keep managing thepany,” Eileen said.

Bryan replied, “But I’ll age like everyone else. Someday, I won’t be able to work anymore, and I’ll need to retire.”

Eileen shed a grin. “So, when’s this grand retirement of yours?”

Bryan thought for a moment before responding. “I’ll work another twenty years and retire in my fifties.”

“By then, I’ll rece you with three eighteen-year-olds,” Eileen quipped.

As soon as Eileen finished speaking, Bryan leaned in swiftly, his fingers gently grasping her neck as he nted a firm kiss on her lips.

Eileen felt a twinge of pain and tasted blood. She retaliated by pinching his ear.

“We’ve only been truly together for a little less than seven years, and now, you’re starting to try to hurt me?” Bryan muttered.

After Eileen pinched his ear, he winced as a dull buzz of pain settled in. Gabri, standing nearby, had watched the entire scene with wide eyes.

“Better she sees us fighting than something inappropriate!” Eileen remarked, noticing the scratch her nails had left on Bryan’s ear. She had probably pinched him too hard in her frustration.

Bryan, still nursing his sore ear, turned back to preparing Gabri’s food. Without a word, he scooped up the slightly cooled spaghetti and ced it in her bowl.

Eileen reached out to poke him in the back, trying to get his attention, but Bryan remained resolute, feeding Gabri. He firmly turned away from Eileen. Realizing she might have gone too far, Eileen knew she had to find a way to make Bryan not angry. But Bryan wasn’t making it easy—his silent treatment stretched for days. Even Gabri had sensed something was amiss. Finding an opportunity, she said to Eileen, “Daddy’s mad!”

“He’s mad at me, not you,” Eileen whispered to Gabri.

“Can you help me cheer him up?”

Gabri pondered this for a long moment before saying, “If you let Daddy kiss you, he won’t be mad anymore!”

Eileen was at a loss for words.

Bryan, focused on his work, couldn’t help but crack a smile. He believed Gabri knew him better than Eileen did now.

When Eileen turned to look at him, he quickly returned to his serious demeanor, shifting his focus back to his work. But Eileen could see the hint of pleasure in his expression. She got up, grabbed her bag, and said, “I’m going to the hospital to see Dolores. You’ll have to watch Gabri now.”
