Chapter 707

    ?Chapter 707:

It was a two-story duplex in a less affluent neighborhood, yet it still cost about two million dors.

A few days ago, Judie and Denise had asked Eileen for some money. They had imed that Roderick only had a few hundred thousand dors.

Eileen’s initial guess when she arrived here was that it was a rented apartment.

However, ording to Denise’s words, it seemed Roderick had bought the apartment.

“Come on in, Eileen,” Roderick called loudly from inside.

It was obvious he didn’t want Eileen to have to listen to Denise.

When Eileen entered, she noticed the decor was outdated, leading her to believe the property wasn’t a new one.

“When did you buy this apartment?” Eileen asked casually as she changed her shoes.

Roderick waved dismissively and said, “I didn’t buy this ce. It’s rented. Judie didn’t tell me until after she rented it. I’m too pleased, but as long as she’s happy, she can do whatever she wants.”

Eileen frowned as she remembered Denise’s smug look.

“The rent is quite cheap. It costs only two thousand dors a month,” Roderick said as he instructed the workers to move the items into a room.

Two thousand dors? That amount couldn’t even rent a room in this apartment.

Eileen was now even more sure that Judie had been lying to Roderick.

But if this apartment wasn’t rented, how could they afford to buy it?

“They’re done moving the items. Come, let’s go see the baby,” Roderick said after the workers had left.

They had hired a nanny to look after the baby. When Eileen went upstairs, the nanny was outside in the sun, ying with the baby. The sunlight was being used to treat the baby’s jaundice.

Judie, who was lying on the bed, saw Eileen enter. After a pause, she sat up with a warm smile. “You’re here, Eileen.”

Eileen nodded and then turned to look at the baby. He was a chubby little boy. He looked like Roderick and was incredibly cute.

Roderick couldn’t stop grinning. Judie, still lying on the bed, asked Roderick to do various things for her, which he did withoutining.

Eileen took out a bank card and slipped it under the baby’s nket.

    “Eileen!” Roderick eximed, looking embarrassed.

“Thank you,” Judie said with a smile.

Roderick tried to take the card back to give it to Eileen, but Judie stopped him. “Roderick, why don’t you go get Eileen some fruit and coffee?”

    “Okay,” Eileen said to Roderick.

Reluctantly, Roderick turned and went downstairs to get what Judie had asked for.

When the nanny noticed that there was a guest, she left to attend to other tasks, leaving Judie and Eileen alone in the room.
