Chapter 706

    ?Chapter 706:

Bryan’s return to the business was a powerful statement. Upon his return, he swiftly made strategic moves within the EB Group, effectively thwarting the ns of those with ulterior motives.

The media only reported that Bryan had returned and was more formidable than ever. It was when Roderick saw this that he called Eileen to tell her he had be a father.

“Alright, I’lle visit you at home when I have the time,” Eileen said, grateful for Roderick’s thoughtfulness.

There was a brief awkward silence from Roderick before he finally said, “I’m not asking you toe visit. I just wanted to share this happy news with you.”

He knew Eileen would want to buy something when she came to visit, so he wanted to make it clear that he wasn’t asking for money or any gifts.

“You don’t want me toe? You don’t want to be your son’s aunt?” Eileen said, her voice slightly raised.

“It’s not that! I want you to be his aunt!” Roderick hurriedly said. “Just don’t buy anything when Judie already has everything she needs.”

Eileen agreed. Once the call ended, she immediately went to the maternity store with Ruby. She had originally nned to go there to buy something for Gabri, so she decided to use the opportunity to get something for Roderick’s family as well.

She nned to buy baby strollers, clothes, toys, and other things a child under one year old might need.

Eileen had initially nned to visit Judie the next day, but when she received the location, she discovered that it was an apartment close to her own vi. She could pass by when she was heading home.

So, Eileen asked the shopping mall to deliver the gifts to Roderick’s apartment. She then sent Ruby and Gabri back before heading there.

Now, it was eight days after the baby’s birth. Roderick had decided to close the restaurant and stay home with his family.

By the time Eileen arrived, the shopping mall’s delivery service had already moved all the gifts into the apartment.

“I remember asking you not to buy anything,” Roderick muttered.

Before Eileen could reply, Denise snorted, “How much do these things cost? It’s really not a big deal for her. Don’t be so grateful to her. You give her everything, but she only gives you a little of what she…”

“Mom!” A frown appeared on Roderick’s face. However, before he could respond, a delivery worker interrupted, asking where an item should be ced.

Turning to Eileen, Roderick said, “Please have a seat. I’ll go sort things out.”

Eileen stood, bag in hand, and watched Roderick leave. Then, she turned to Denise.

Denise seemed quite smug. Noticing Eileen’s gaze, Denise straightened up and said, “This is your first time visiting our apartment, right? It might not be as luxurious as your vi, but it’s pretty nice. I bet you didn’t expect us to be living so well.”

Denise was right. Eileen really hadn’t expected this.

The apartment was the smallest in the entireplex.
