Chapter 675

    ?Chapter 675:

The sight of her lying awake each night, and his inability to offer her a secure future, was too much for him to bear.

“Then I’ll go with you,” Eileen replied, unable to meet his gaze. Her lowered eyes failed to conceal her growing panic.

She said, “The night before our wedding, Christos reached out to me. He said he’d give me the antidote if I didn’t marry you. But I turned him down. It turns out he was indeed lying.”

Christos had eventually handed over the antidote. In her heart, nothing mattered more than marrying Bryan.

“Don’t pay attention to him,” Bryan said, uncertain of Christos’ motives. “I’m heading to the hospital now. Enjoy your breakfast, don’t wait for me.”

    Eileen nodded.

When she finished breakfast, Bryan still hadn’t returned. She called him, and Josue answered the call, informing her that Bryan was undergoing aprehensive physical examination. If everything was clear, they would proceed with administering the antidote.

“Bryan told me that if you called, I should be honest with you,” Josue said. “If you want toe to the hospital, I’ll send you the address. If you hadn’t called, he might secretly take the antidote and return without informing you.”

    Bryan didn’t want her toe.

Eileen felt a weight in her heart but eventually requested the hospital’s address. Josue sent her the details, noting that the full results wouldn’t be avable until three in the afternoon.

Eileen didn’t head to the hospital immediately. Instead, she texted Bryan, “You don’t want me toe?”

After a long pause, Bryan finally responded, “You cane, but only if you promise not to cry.”

Eileen hesitated, her emotions fluctuating between hope and despair. She couldn’t guarantee that she wouldn’t lose control.

With little time to think it through, Eileen skipped lunch. She asked Ruby to put Gabri to sleep and then headed to the hospital.

To Eileen’s surprise, she encountered an unexpected traffic jam on her way. After the traffic had cleared, Eileen finally arrived at the hospital just after 3:10 in the afternoon.

“Well, your timing is a bit unusual,” Josue said nonchntly as he saw Eileen and nced at the operating room.

“What do you mean by that?” Eileen asked, breathless from running up the stairs. “Why are you standing outside the operating room? Where is Bryan?”

Josue gestured toward the red light above the operating room and said, “He’s inside.”

The ring red light in the upper left corner caught Eileen’s attention, making her frown as she asked, “What does that mean?”

“The results are in. He’s in good health and meets the criteria for the injection. He’s currently in the operating room receiving the antidote,” Josue replied.
