Chapter 13: stay please
Darius POV
I went to my bed two hours ago and I was not able to fall asleep. Iid on my back above my duvet in
my boxers and sweatpants. I have been tossing and turning the whole time. I’ve triedying on my
back, both of my sides, and my stomach but nothing worked. I was starting to grow restless.
I have been working my ass off me with a lot of paperwork since I left Alea''s room trying to figure out
what pack she belonged to and why the moonlit pack hunted her down and beat her, but I haven''t been
able to find out anything.
Every time I close my eyes my brain goes haywire trying to figure out why anyone would do that to her.
I put my right arm over my eyes trying again. I breathed in a deep and calm breath trying to sleep when
I heard an ear-piercing scream echo through my packhouse.
I jumped out of my bed and ran toward my door. I opened the door and came out in the hallway and I
heard the screaminging from Alea''s room.
"They are here! Get them off me!"
I ran towards her door and threw it open and saw Alea sitting up in her bed screaming her lungs out. I
ran to her and took hold of her arms while looking straight at her face. Her eyes were empty and they
showed so much fear.
"Alea! What''s the matter?"
I don''t think she heard me because she was still screaming her lungs out.
"Alea, calm down no one is here." I told her trying to calm her down. But whatever I did, nothing
worked.
While I tried to make her stop screaming I heard some of my pack members asking through our mind-
link,
''What is going on?''
''Are we under attack''
''Who is screaming''
''We aren''t under attack. I believe that the girl we saved from the moonlit pack is having a nightmare.’ I
said back through the pack mind link cut the mind link shifting my focus back on Alea when I heard
Nicole in a private mind-link.
''Do you need any help?''
''No. I will handle it.'' I said back.
I looked at Alea’s face and she was still screaming and her breath was not good. What the hell should I
do? How can I calm her down? She was literally having a big panic attack. Then I remembered what
one of my old teachers taught us. I just hope she will forgive me for this.
I smashed my lips against hers, making her hold her breath and at the same time stopping her panic
attack. I held her in my arms with my lips on hers. I moved my hand up to her cheek and deepened the
kiss, even if this was not my intention. I just couldn''t help myself, she tasted so amazing. I licked the
bottom of her lip to ask permission, I never thought she would open up to me but she did and I stuck
my tongue in. She tasted even more amazing than I ever imagined.
''I have to stop this before I end up in an awkward situation.'' I thought to myself when I felt my member
start to grow in my sweatpants. I broke the kiss and I looked at Alea and I could see that she was now
calm and her breath was back to normal. I just hope she will forgive me. I did promise that she could
trust me and I didn’t want to force myself on her.
She looked at me in shock. Her eyes were red and swollen from all the crying. I still had one of my
hands on her cheek and the other on her lower back. I could see the fear on her face and the tears that
threatened to escape her eyes again.
"Shh, Alea. Everything will be fine. I am here."
I slowly put my arms around her to give herfort. It was then I noticed that she leaned her face
against my bare chest and I started to rock her back and forth. I could feel that she rxed more and
more in my arms. It was then I leaned down and kissed her on the top of the head. We sat like this for a
while but when I started to notice that she was about to fall asleep leaning against me I put her head on
the pillow and put the duvet over her body and tucked her in. I got off the bed and started walking
towards the door when I felt a hand grab my arm stopping me in ce. I turned back and saw her look
right up at me.
"Please. Stay," She said in a whisper.
I looked at her and thought for myself. ''Did I just hear right?''
"Are you sure?" I asked back.
She just nodded and took a breath. "I don''t want to be alone" With a low voice.
I gave her a smile and I got back in the bed, but I was on top of the duvet. Iid my arm over her and
she snuggled closer to me. I felt happy that she asked me to stay. Xander screamed in joy.
While Iid there I thought to myself. ''I will stay until she is asleep. I don''t want to freak her out in the
morning when she wakes up.''
I am happy that I have found my mate. After all, I have been looking for her for such a long time. But
laying here next to her was hard for me because my instinct told me to mate and mark her, it''s our
nature. I can''t do that to her or to me. Not after what she has been through, not right now, I will wait till
she is ready. I could feel that she was breathing deep so I knew she was about to fall asleep. I will just
hold her a little more before I go back to my own room.
It took a while before she was fully asleep. I moved away from her and slowly took my arm away from
her so I could get up and leave, but as I moved my arm away she started to make sounds that sounded
like her mind and dreams were haunting her. I put my arm around her once again and the second I had
my arm around her she was quiet. I tried to leave a few more times but every time I took my arm off her
she made that sound again. So eventually I gave up and decided to stay and sleep next to her. I pulled
her close to my chest and wrapped both arms around her to make her feel safe and to make sure she
sleeps all she needs to.
I closed my eyes and I leaned against her and fell asleep beside her smelling her amazing scent, both I
and Xander were happy but we both were a little frightened about how she would react when she
