    I don''t know if it''s day or night, my room has no windows, my father removed my window years ago.


    The only way out of my room is through the door that is always locked from the outside. He even

    My nightmare started five years ago when my mother and brother were killed by rogues at our border.

    Right now I''m sitting on my mattress, with my legs closed pulled up to my chest and my head resting


    on my knees, my arms are around my legs to keep me warm. I have my nket on my back and the


    clothes I have on my body, that are more like rags.


    I can hear footsteps in the distance. They areing closer and closer, louder and louder, and I know


    what''s going to happen right now, so I tightly close my eyes as tears escape from them.


    I can hear that someone is putting the key in the keyhole of the door and turning the doorknob to open


    it. The door is making a squeaky sound, that makes my whole body shiver in fear.


    I open my eyes and look up and I see Nichs is standing in the threshold holding a te with food on


    it in one of his hands and the other one is holding a ss of water.


    Nichs is around 6 feet tall, broad shoulders, blonde hair, blue eyes, and his bicep muscles are huge,


    and he has a strong jawline. He could kill you in an instant if he wants to. Everytime hees in he

    I look over his shoulder with tears in my eyes when I see that the door is still opened. For the first time


    in a long time I see outside the door, all the light outside means it''s night. Nichs still has his face


    right to my ear. I can feel his tongue on my earlobe, his hot breath around my ear.


    I push him away, he loses his bnce but he is up fast and ps me over my face, the impact makes


    me knock over the ss of water, and I can hear that the ss brakes. My cheek is all red thanks to


    the impact from his hand.


    He puts his hands around my neck and starts to strangle me. "Don''t you ever do that again!" he


    screams at me. I can feel that I am starting to lose my breath, I fumbled around with my hands for a


    while. Just when I start to close my eyes, my handes in contact with a piece of ss that I broke.


    I put my hand around it and I can feel the piece cut into my skin and it hurts a lot. I put all my force and


    strength into mming it in Nichs¡¯s left side just under the ribs. He looks right in my eyes as he


    removes his hands from my neck and moves his right hand to take out the piece of ss from his side.


    He pulls it out and rolls over to his back and passes out from the blood loss. I take the keys from him


    and start to stumble towards the door. I don''t have much strength left in me but I need to get out of


    here, I must make it. I closed the door and locked it so I could get a headstart before Nichs would


    wake up. I stumble through the house. I manage to get out of the front door without getting caught. I


    looked left and right and I could not see anyone so I took a deep breath in and started to stumble


    towards the woods. When the tree line hides me I gather all of my strength that I had left and start


    running as fast as I can and leave my home and prison behind me.

    The sky is clear and the moonlight is shining on the dark night sky. I''m running through the woods, I''m


    covered in dirt and blood. While I am running for my life I can feel the twigs that scratch and cut all over


    my body.


    I jump over rocks and overturned tree trunks. I dodge the branches that are scrambled everywhere. I


    tried to avoid them but some scratch my skin and make more cuts all over my body that leaves a blood


    trail and an easier way to track me down. I noticed that in some ces the ground is wet, I stumble and


    fall to the ground and get more dirt all over my body. My clothes (more like rags) get more and more


    torn with every fall. Everytime I fall I push myself up and start running again, trying to push myself even


    further away from my living nightmare.

    but I push myself to keep on going till I lose them. I can hear that they are gaining on me and I try to

    I can feel that my body is out of energy, my speed is slowing down, and my vision is getting blurry.

    start to lose more of my consciousness when I feel a strong aura and I hear what sounds like a fight


    going on but I can''t open my eyes to see who is fighting. I''m totally gone. I just want to die and see my


    mother and brother again.


    I don''t know how I could hear but I could. The fight was over and I waited for thest hit that would kill


    me. But instead, I feel the ground disappears under my body and it feels like I''m flying. At the same


    time, I feel strong arms and warmth around me and I drift off into the darkness. I don''t know who is


    carrying me or where they are taking me. I have no idea how much time has passed but I hope I will be


    safe from my father just for a little while until I have the energy to start running again, far away from him


    and the way he has treated me for 5 years.

    It feels like I''ve slept for days, I opened my eyes slowly and I can see a blue sky and a lot of trees. As I


    sit up and look around I can see that just behind the trees is a smallke.

    back for her.


    I start to move my head around more to see where I was. Am I dead? I said out loud.


    "No my child you are not dead." I heard a voice.


    I looked around but I did not see anyone there. "Who are you? And why can''t I see you?"


    Just as I finished my question I saw a bright light and a woman with a long white dress and long silver


    hair which came to her waist, she had a kind face which was pale but perfect, and her eyes were deep


    ocean blue color. My mouth fell open to the beautiful creature in front of me.


    "My name is Selene and you couldn''t see me before because I didn''t want to scare you." She had the


    most beautiful voice I had ever heard before in my life.


    "Where am I?" I asked her. She looked at me before she answered my question,


    "You are in your sanctuary in my realm, I''m the moon goddess, the mother of all the wolves."


    I moved my hands up and rubbed my eyes to see if I was dreaming or hallucinating. When I took my


    hands away she was still there looking at me and waited for me to process what she told me.

    "Then why am I here?" I asked and looked at Selene. "You are here because your wolf Pixie came to


    me and asked me to help you." She gives me a warm smile.


    "PIXIE?!? Where is she?" I ask her with panic in my voice.

    was to put Pixie to sleep in your mind." She said in a calming voice.


    I looked at her in confusion and shock at the same time. The moon goddess started to walk over to


    where I was sitting and reached her hand to me. She had a warm smile on her face, so I decided to


    take her hand and she helped me up.


    We walked past the tree lines heading to theke in silence. I can feel the moon goddess look at me a


    few times, but when I look back at her she looks ahead. When we reached theke she looked at me


    again.


    "If you are the Moon goddess can you," she cut me off like she knew what I was about to ask her.


    "I will tell you all about it when you are ready to hear it. I know you have suffered a lot at the hands of


    your father and the moonlit pack, but that was your destiny so you could achieve my future ns for


    you".


    I looked at Selene in shock, like my eyes were going to pop out my head. It felt like I had a lump in my


    throat, tears started rolling down my cheeks.


    "What the hell do you know? You don''t know anything I have been through!" I scream at the moon


    goddess with a crying voice.

    is because your mother was murdered." She paused and took some breath and continued.


    "Remember my child, you will soon wake up to find out that you are not alone. You will find out more


    and get answers to your questions and the purpose as to why all this has happened to you, but you


    have to be patient."


    I looked down at my hands as tears started flowing down even more. "I don''t want to wake up. I just


    want to end this suffering and to be with my mother and brother."


    Selene snapped her head to me, "Don''t you dare think to take your life. I told you, you''re no longer


    alone, trust me." She said. I look up at Selene with red eyes from crying.


    "Trust you, how? Look at me I am a daughter of an alpha that tortured and raped me and you never


    came! I¡¯m broken and lost!"


    Selene starts to walk closer to the edge of theke but turns her head back and looks at me.

    I can hear an irritating beeping sound that grows louder and louder. And I knew right then that I was still


    alive.


    I can hear a woman''s voice in the room "Alpha, she has been out for one week and I don''t know when


    she will wake up." I hear the unknown woman say.


    I thought to myself ''she said alpha, then I¡¯m back at my pack''.


    "Can you give me an update possibly on what has happened to her?"


    That voice, I have never heard before, but then again it has been a long time since I heard anyone''s


    voice from my pack. The only voices I have heard are the ones that have been in my room every night.


    The unknown woman answered him. "My examination of this woman and going over her body, she has


    been beaten and raped. I managed to help her heal from the bite wound she had on her shoulder. And


    when I did an X-ray, I could see that her bones have been broken a couple of times, they have not


    been able to healpletely before being broken again, over and over. I hope by being here it will heal

    The beeping sound goes haywire and I can feel someone take my hand and I think it is the same


    unknown woman "Everyone get out!¡± She screams to the others in the room that were there but I didn''t

    I could hear the door close, but not long after I slowly started to open my eyes. The bright light made it

    Another persones to help. She also had green eyes but her hair is light brown. "Get me the


    tranquilizer!" She says to the other one while trying to hold me down. The other person runs to a


    cab in the corner of the room and opens the ss door.


    "Calm down! You will hurt yourself!" She says with a terrifying voice.


    The light brown girles back with a syringe. I look at the syringe in fear. I tried to get free but this


    unknown woman has a strong hold on me. I managed to get my hand free.


    I see she is moving the syringe to my IV - Drip the second she put the syringe in the iv bag, I get a hold


    on the needle in my arm and pull it out. I push the unknown woman in theb coat away from me.


    I got out of the bed and my legs felt like jelly, it was hard for me to stand. The light brown girl was right


    beside me. I screamed and punched her to get her away from me. She fell to the floor and I moved


    around the ce to find stuff to throw at them so they would leave me alone.


    I could hear the door open and I turned around and to see a man in the doorway.


    I could smell something, but what was it? I took a quick sniff and I smelled strawberries and choctes,


    it was so captivating. I can hear my wolf far in my mind screaming one word to me that I don''t want to


    hear ''mate''. I push Pixie back in my mind and block her out. Who is he and why is he my mate, and

    I look around starting to panic when I see a small te with a scalpel on and I reach out and grab it and


    hold it to my neck. The unknown man put up his hands in the air.


    "I am not going to hurt you, so please put the scalpel down." he said. I shake my head. Who was he to


    ask me that question? What does he want with me?


    I started to panic even more and my breathing started to go hayway. "Leave me alone! I know he is


    here! If youe closer I will end my life!" I scream with a terrified voice.


    I start to back away still holding the scalpel to my throat. The two women took steps away from me so I


    would not hurt myself.


    The man still holding his hands in the air took a few steps forward.


    "Don''t be afraid of me. I am not going to hurt you in any way." He said while looking at me with


    concerned eyes. "My name is Darius. What is your name?"


    I looked up in his eyes and shook my head. Darius takes one more step closer. Why is he stilling


    closer?


    "Don''te any closer! I will slice my throat! Just bring him in! I know he is here!" I yelled at him.


    I see that there are more people standing outside the doors threshold. "Who are you talking about?" He


    asks me. And has a confused look on his face.


    "Who else? My father! I know he is here, just bring him in so I can get my punishment for running


    away!" I screamed out. My eyes could not hold back my tears anymore. My body is shaking in so much


    fear. It''s hard for me to keep the scalpel in a steady hold to my throat.


    "Who is your father?" He asked and looked confused.


    "Do you think I am an idiot?" I asked as I backed away and felt the cold wall behind me. With nowhere


    else to go I start to panic even more. I have moved away from them as far as I can, thanks to this


    stupid wall. I looked at thedies in the room really fast and then back to Darius just in time to see that


    he kept following me. I start to hyperventte at this point.


    Dariuses even closer while saying "I don''t know who you are talking about. This is the Night


    Shade pack and I am the alpha, Darius Knight. Please drop the scalpel and tell me your name and


    where you are from." He tells me with a calm and kind but also concerned voice.


    "No, you''re lying." I said to him as he takes thest few steps then he is standing right in front of me


    and reaches out his hand to me.


    "Please give me the scalpel." He said while looking into my eyes.


    "Noooo!" I screamed out and pushed the scalpel in my neck and everything went ck.


    Thest thing I could feel is warm hands around my neck and pressure where I pushed in the scalpel. I


    could feel some weird feelings where the warm hands touched my skin but I could not understand what


    it was. And I did not want to know.


    Thest thing I heard before I lost my consciousness was,

 Chapter 5: save her

    Darius POV


    I have my hand over the girl''s neck and put pressure where she had pushed the scalpel in. Blood was


    coming out inrge amounts. I have her blood all over my hands. I see the light in her eyes fading


    away. I look over to Celia and Cassie, they are both standing frozen.


    "What are you two doing, don''t stand there" I scream out in my powerful alpha tone.


    They bothe back from the shock and start running the room to get the tools they need to save her.


    Celia gets down on her knees just above the girl¡¯s head and puts pressure over my hands


    "Don''t lose her! I won''t lose her! we need her!" I growled at her.


    "Alpha, I won¡¯t lose her. I¡¯ll do my best, but we have to take out the scalpel." She says in a scared


    voice.


    "Then do it for fucks sake!" I growled at her.


    She looked at me and I know she sees my eyes are ck from so much frustration and anger. I


    growled at her once again when I noticed she did not do anything.


    "Alpha, there are risks if I pull it out. I don''t know what the oue will be." She told me with so much


    fear in her voice.


    "Celia, she is bleeding out! Take it out but don''t lose her, you need to do everything in your power to


    save her." I growl at her using the alpha tone.


    I see Cassie hase back with some weird instruments. She ces them beside Celia. I¡¯m still


    holding pressure on the wound when I see both put gloves on.


    "Alpha, you need to move your hands so I can save her." Celia told me in aposed voice.


    I moved my hands away a bit so I could give them more ess to save the dying girl.

    Third POV


    Cassie looks at Celia before she starts to clean around the scalpel and to check that it was not in any


    major arteries before she pulls it out. More bloodes out when Celia removes the scalpel and gives


    it to Cassie. The scalpel they removed from Aleera¡¯s nack ispletely covered in blood and Cassie


    puts it in a metal container. Then she pulls out a needle and pushes it in an arm to connect IV-Drip to


    Aleera.


    Celia puts some gauze over the cut on Aleera''s neck. To make the bleeding stop.


    "Alpha, we need help to lift her up on the bed." Celia tells Darius.


    Darius moves closer and bends down to pick up Aleera. Darius puts one arm under her knees and one


    behind her head. He walks over to the bed and ces Aleera on it. Darius stands beside the bed and


    looks at Aleera with worry and terrified look on his face. While Darius is standing beside the bed he


    sees Celia stitching the wound up so the girl would not bleed out after that she helps Cassie connect


    machines to her body. The machines start to beep and show her heartbeat.


    "Alpha, I did my best. I hope she will pull through. The only thing she needs now is rest." Celia told him.


    Just when she had finished that sentence the cardiac machine that measures Aleera''s heartbeat stops


    and shows she''s in cardiac arrest.


    Celia springs into action.


    "Alpha, you need to get out! Cassie start CPR, NOW!" she screamed to both of us


    Cassie starts thepressions while Celia puts a breathing mask over Aleera''s nose and mouth.


    1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 ¡­¡­¡­. 30 and Celia pushed two breaths in her. They did this for two and a half


    minutes still nothing.


    "Cassie, keep on going I will get the defibritor." Celia said before she ran to the other side of the


    room. Shees back and tells Cassie to stay clear.


    "200, clear, ¡­.. check the pulse." Celia ask Cassie


    "Nothing."


    "200, again, clear."


    Aleera''s body jumps from the electric shocks. After three times the cardiac machine started to show


    Aleera''s heart was back on track.


    Beep.


    Beep.


    Beep.


    Both breath out in relief that she was back.

    Darius POV


    I was right outside the door worried like hell. I looked down at my hands and I see that they were still


    covered in that girl''s blood. I try to calm myself down and to listen through the door. I heard everything.


    When I heard Celia said that her heart beat is back and on track, I took a relieved breath. As I was


    thinking to myself,


    ¡®I don''t want to lose this girl. I know she is my mate. My wolf screamed it when I saved her in the


    woods. I saw it in the girl¡¯s eyes that she knew it too, but it looks like she pushed that thought away. But


    why was the question, was it because she did not want me as a mate or was it because of her past?¡¯

    hands. I left my spot and headed to my room to get cleaned up.


    After my shower I put on my ck jeans and my ck shirt and walk down the stairs. James was right


    by the door in his blue jeans and white shirt. He has blonde hair and ice-blue eyes. His broad shoulders


    and his muscles could be seen all over his body. We had almost the same body type. We have been


    training together since we were kids.


    "Darius, are you ready to leave?" James ask


    "Truth, no, I just want to stay here and keep an eye on her. But I know I have to go, it is my duty as an

    I sigh and start to walk to the door. I open it and walk out, James follows behind me and closes the


    door. We got in one of our pack¡¯s ck SUVs and James started the car and we drove off to our


    destination.

    In the distance I could hear the beeping sound again. And I know once again that I am alive. I could


    hear footsteps close to me. My eyes flickered a little before I started to open them. They felt heavy to


    open, but they opened slowly only to shut them again from the bright light that''s shining in the room.


    I tried again but this time I squeezed opened my eyes so they could adjust to the light. It felt like it took


    hours for me to open them when it only took minutes. I looked around and I saw that I am in the same


    room I woke up in before.


    I noticed something soft behind my head, that felt amazing and I knew it was a pillow. I was in such a


    panic state before that I did not notice itst time. It was years ago I actually had one. I looked down


    and noticed a white duvet covering me, it was nice and warm.


    I moved my hand and felt the needle that I pulled out before was now back in. I noticed my body was


    connected to some machines and the irritating sound wasing from them. It was so annoying that I


    wanted to smash it against the wall.


    I moved my head around the room and I could see the same unknown woman as before in the white


    lab coat. She had her back towards me and was doing something but I can¡¯t see. All of a sudden she


    turns around like she knew I was awake. She meets my eyes with a warm smile and takes a deep


    breath.


    "Oh good morning, my dear, please take it easy and what you didst time, don''t you ever do that


    again. I almost lost you." She said in a disproving tone and paused for a few seconds before she


    continued.


    "You were out for three days and we were so worried about you, so please whatever you do don''t try to


    fight to get away again. We just want to help you get better. You are safe here. No one here will hurt


    you." The unknown woman said.


    ''Pixie, we need to get out of here, I don''t trust her!'' I screamed out through our mind link.


    ''Aleera, we don''t have the strength to run at the moment. I don''t know but I have a feeling that we can


    trust her but we have to be careful.'' She said back.


    I looked at her and she gave me a warm smile. "My name is Celia and I''m the pack doctor." She tells


    me in a calming voice. I still just looked at her but did not say anything in response.


    She came closer to me but when she was just two meters away I shrugged back. That made her stop


    and raise her hands. Her smile disappeared.


    "I am here to help you, not to hurt you." She still had a calm voice and her smile started to grow on her


    face again. She started to move closer but at a very slow pace.


    "Will you let me help you?" She asked me.


    I didn¡¯t answer her. I just looked at her and I slowly nodded my head. Celia gave me a warm smile and


    walked to me at a slow pace so she didn''t frighten me.


    "I will just take a look at your Iv-drip so please don''t be afraid. I am here just for you and I promise that


    you can trust me." She informs me. I did not give her any response, I just nodded again.


    She took thest few steps and once next to me she took a look at the IV line that was in my hand, She


    was gentle and had a friendly smile. When she was done with all her check-ups she walked behind the


    bed and started to push the handle to get the bed up in a sitting position. I moved my head to look at


    her and I believe she saw some fear in my eyes.


    "I am going to get the bed up so you can sit up and so you can eat." She tells me.


    I shook my head so fast that I started to see stars. She looked at me with a confused look on her face.


    "But my dear, you need to get nutrition so you can heal and get better." She answered me. She inhaled


    a breath and continued.


    "Just by the look of your condition you were in when you came here, and still are in, I''m guessing it has


    been a long time since you had something to eat. That''s why it''s really important for you to get some


    nutrients." It was no question from her but more like a statement. She had this kind of doctor¡¯s facial


    expression on her face that she was not going to give up and she was right, it has been a long time


    ago.


    "If I eat, what will you do to me?" I said, stuttering my words out in a whispering voice.


    Celia looked taken back when she heard me ask that. "My dear, what do you mean, what will I do to


    you if you eat?" She looked confused when she asked me why I had asked her that.


    "It always costs me something to get some food." I whisper out as tears start to creep out from my eyes


    and my body starts to shake.


    "Cost you something? You can''t be serious? We all need nutrition. You will eat and get some more rest


    so you¡¯ll get better.¡± She had a mothering but stern voice when she said it to me.


    She was standing beside my bed when she said that and after she finished she turned around to walk


    towards the door.


    "I''ll be back very soon. I''m going to get your food." She said as she started to walk out of the room.


    I started to sob as tears spilled down my cheeks.


    "No please, don''t leave me alone." The words leave my lips stuttering. Celiaes back right away


    and starts slowly putting her arms around me to see if I would be okay with it. At first, I looked at her


    and she stopped but she slowly moved her arms around me in the end. When she had her arms


    around me it felt weird at first butfortable at the same time. It has been a long time since I had a


    protected hug.

    Omg, what has happened to this girl? She is afraid to eat, she is afraid to be alone, and she is so


    undernourished. I am afraid I will break her if I hug her too hard.

    ''Of course. Is it for you?'' She asked me back.


    ''No, it is for the patient. She started to cry so bad and said she didn''t want to be left alone.'' I answer

    my arms around her and she was still crying but she has settled down a bit.


    "My dear, I don''t know your name so I don''t know what to call you. Would you please tell me your


    name?" I asked her in a calming voice.


    "You can use some of the nicknames I got over the years." She stuttered the words out.


    "What nicknames?" I asked her, afraid of what she was going to tell me.


    "Slut, bitch, whore¡­.." I pulled away from her when I heard those horrible nicknames and cut her off


    before she finished. My blood was boiling.


    "Who in the hell has given you these ugly and disgusting nicknames? I will never use any of those


    names, I want to use your real name." I said to her in an angry and sad voice while looking her in the


    eyes.


    She looked at me with sad eyes. "Everyone did. They all give me their own nickname. I just got used to


    it since they never used my real name." She told me in a soft and broken voice.


    "But I want to use your real name, can I?" I asked her.


    "I don''t want to tell you my real name at the moment but you can call me Alea." She told me in a


    whispering tone. I moved my hand over to her face to wipe away the tears.

    A knock at the door made both of us jump. The door opened and Cassie walked in with a te full of


    food on it. Celia noticed the frightened look that was all over my face.


    "Don''t worry, she is my sister Cassie, I asked her to bring some food because you asked me not to


    leave you alone." Celia told me in aposed voice.


    Cassie put the te with food on the table that Celia had put over the bed and left the room.


    I looked down at the te and was shocked, was this all for me. The te had mashed potatoes and


    meatloaf, it looked so good. As if on queue my stomach starts to make a growling sound. I look up at


    Celia. I was still afraid to eat.


    "Come hun, eat up." Celia told me in a calming tone. I shook my head again, still afraid. Celia noticed


    the fear in my eyes. She put her hands on my shoulder so she could make eye contact with me.


    "You need to eat, so you can heal faster. I promise nothing will happen to you if you take the food." She


    tells me in a trusting voice.


    I stretched out my hand to take the spoon, my hand shaking the whole time. I got some food on the


    spoon and moved it to my mouth. My hand was shaking so I almost spilled the food and the IV line in


    my hand did not help me at all. I was so frightened someone would beat, or rape me if I eat so I was on


    a high alert.


    When the food came in contact with my taste buds, it was like an explosion, the taste was so good. I


    loved it. I swallowed the first spoon with food. I hope Celia was telling me the truth, I don''t know if I will


    be able to handle more stuff like I had to suffer in my past. I took another spoon full of food and put it in


    my mouth. When I had swallowed the second one the door opened and he walked in. I don''t remember


    the name. He saw that I was awake and a huge smile formed on his face.


    I saw him walk towards me at a normal speed. When he was really close he reached out his hand and


    my instinct kicked in and I flinched back. He froze in his spot as I shivered in fear. He stood there


    looking at me and I could feel the inside of my stomach turn inside out and I leaned over the bed side


    and puked up the small amount I managed to eat.


    Celia got up from her seat to help me. She takes a hold of my hair to make sure it''s not in the way.


    When everything was out Iid back on my right side and breathed heavily. It felt like the air couldn¡¯t


    get through my lungs right. I did see Celia look back at the man that was standing beside me. Her face


    lit up in anger.


    "Outside now." The tone of her voice was like a volcano before it woke up. She put her hand on my


    forehead. "I will just be outside that door. I will be back in a second." She walked to the door and the


    man from before was right behind her and he closed the door behind them.

    "What the hell was that?" I asked Darius


    I heard Darius growl at me. I looked at him, my insides were boiling and ready to explode.


    "What? Don''t use that look on me, I am your alpha." He was angry. I could tell by the way he looked at


    me and the tone of his voice.


    "Yes, I know you are the alpha, but she is my patient. Do you have any idea what you just did?" I asked


    him, still holding my head high and my eyes locked with his. No one dared to do that. But I had to stand


    my ground.


    "No. What did I do? I just wanted to check up on her. She is still my mate and I wanted to see how she


    was doing."


    "All the work I had done is gone like the wind, just because you decided to walk in. I finally managed to


    get her to eat." I told Darius a little frustrated.


    Darius looked at me. He was still angry and breathing heavy, his eyes were pitch ck.


    "It can''t be just because I walked into the room." He said.


    "Yes, she is afraid of what you would have done to her if you saw her eating. We have no idea what


    she has been through. Did you see how she flinched when you reached out your hand? She is scared

    "From now on no one is allowed to walk in that room except me and Cassie. If you want toe in

    Darius had almost calmed himself down and his eyes were almost back to normal but after what I said

    saw James and the pack¡¯s third inmand, Samuel.


    Both of them have a grip on Darius, he looked at me with ck eyes. I have never seen that much


    ck in his eyes before. He started to take deep breaths to try and calm himself down.


    "I am sorry alpha but if you want her to live then you have to do what I said. I am not doing this to keep


    you apart, I am doing it to make sure she will survive. I want her to live and I know you want that too, so


    please listen." I said and I touched my neck where his hand was just a few seconds ago.


    James and Samuel did not let their grip on Darius. I could see in their eyes that they were mind linking

    "Darius, get out, take a run to calm down.¡± James said. Darius looked up at him and nodded and turned


    his back against us and started walking.

    I rushed out from the hospital wing and ran towards the forest line. It didn''t bother me that I ripped my


    clothes to shreds when I shifted, I just had to get away to calm myself down. I have never reacted in


    this way before. Sure I have in different situations but this was different and I felt so bad about it. She


    just wanted to help her to survive and get better. How could I react that way?


    I was running as fast as my paws could take me. I felt twigs snap under my paws and I didn''t care


    about the pain as they scratched them. My heart was beating faster and faster and I ran pushing


    myself. I dodged branches and jumped over rocks. I felt the wind in my fur.


    My wolf isrge and he has ck fur. I let Xander take over while we run to calm down from the earlier


    situation. We ran for a while around our territory and ran to a ce my mother had told me she went to


    when she lost control. My mother and father are no longer with us, they died three years ago in a fight


    with the Moonlit pack.


    I came to a meadow with a small pond that was far, far into the woods. It was here my mother always


    went to. Not many in the pack knew about this ce. I sat down and closed my eyes and inhaled


    deeply.


    The smell that surrounded me was so calming. The only sound around me was from the water and the


    leaves dancing with the wind. Other than that there were no sounds at all. While I sat there trying to


    calm down as I thought to myself.

    I and a few of my pack members were out patrolling around the woods close by the moonlit pack to


    make sure they don''t kill any humans or any other wolves when I heard a scream from far away but it


    disappeared right away. It was strange, but I ignored it as it disappeared right away. After I had ran a


    few meters more I could smell the most amazing scent in the wind. I followed the smell that caught my


    nose, I mind linked the other wolves that were with me to follow me. We ran for maybe ten minutes


    south of where we were. The closer we got the stronger the scent got.


    When we reached the source I saw a girl on the ground and she was surrounded by at least fifteen


    other wolves. Her clothes were ripped off and one of the males that were standing over her had a


    sadistic smile on his face. She was bleeding from cuts and I could smell that someone had put his


    semen on or in her. My insides were burning. When I saw that this man was about to kick her we


    attacked the wolves. We fought for a while, but my eyes were deadlocked on that man that was


    standing over her before we attacked. When he saw us he shifted into his light brown wolf. His wolf


    was smaller than my wolf and I attacked him with my paws, scratching at him and biting him with my


    teeth. I bit him on the neck and his front paw when he tried to defend himself by attacking me. The fight


    did notst long before we chased them off.


    I shifted back to my human body and I walked over to the girl that was unconscious. I bent down and I


    picked her up carrying her bridal style.


    I heard my wolf Xander scream in my mind ¡®MATE¡¯. She was so beautiful and I decided in that moment


    that I will protect her with my own life.


    And the response from Xander was ''Of course, we will protect her, she is our mate and our light in life''.

    I opened my eyes again and I could feel tears escaping my eyes. Right now I am d that no one can


    see me, I was an alpha. I can¡¯t show my pack members that I cried or that I am weak. Who will they


    turn to if they knew? But I will be strong for them and for her. Just thinking about her makes my anger

    The door opened and Celia walked back in. During the time she was outside the room I had turned


    around and was nowying on my left side so I could see the door. I noticed she had some red marks


    on her neck that weren''t there when she had walked out. She noticed that I was looking at her neck.


    "No need to worry about the red marks on my neck, Darius lost his temper because he thought I tried


    to keep him away from you." She told me in a calming tone.


    I nodded my head as she walked over to me and sat down on a chair beside the bed. She took my


    hand and looked right into my eyes.


    "Will you try to eat now or do you want to try itter?" She asked me.


    I thought about it for a few seconds.


    "Later." I whisper out. I was still afraid that the man she called Darius woulde back in.


    We sat there inplete silence for a few minutes. She was looking at me and I looked around the


    room when Celia broke the silence.


    "Is it okay if I remove the duvet to do some exercise with your legs so you can get your muscles back


    on track?"


    I looked at her and gave her a small nod. She smiled and raised from her chair to remove the duvet.


    She ced her hands on my legs and moved my left leg first then she did the same on my right leg.


    "Can you move your toes for me?" She asked me.


    I looked at her confused. Why does she want me to move them? I looked at my toes and concentrated


    on moving them. It took a while but I was able to move them after a while. When I had finally managed


    to move them I spotted that Celia now had a huge smile on her face.


    "Perfect! Now we know that your muscles from your back all the way down to your toes work." She said


    in a happy voice. Celia looked at me before she continued.


    "How do you feel about trying to get up and walk around the room?"


    I looked at her before I nodded my head, I was a little afraid that I would fall. Last time I stood up my


    legs felt like jelly and it was hard for me to stand at that time and I hope I will be able to do it this time. I


    moved my legs so they dangled on the right side of the bed and moved closer to the edge of the bed.


    "If you feel unsteady you can hold my hands."


    Celia holds out her hands for me to grab a hold of if I needed them for support. When my feet touched


    the floor I got that same feeling of having jelly legs so I grabbed Celia''s hands for support. I moved my


    left leg first and then my right leg. It felt like I was dragging my feet behind me. When I was about to


    take the next step a loud and powerful howl echoed through the wind.


    I froze in my position and my body shivered in fear. My grip on Celia''s hands became hard and I could


    see her skin turning red. I looked up and I saw the pain in her eyes but for some reason I couldn''t


    loosen my grip.


    "Rx, it was just Darius." She tells me.


    I slowly rxed and loosened my grip on Celia''s hands. "I do think you should start to breathe my dear,


    before you will faint fromck of air." She told me with small amusement in her voice. I had not noticed


    that I had stopped breathing before she told me and I started to breathe once again.


    I looked down at my feet so I didn''t notice where we were walking. It was not until I lifted my head I saw


    that we had entered the bathroom and I could feel that I was starting to panic a little. I looked around


    and I saw a shower in the left corner and in the right corner it was a bathtub. On my left side it was a


    toilet and beside that was a big white basin. On my right side there were shelves where towels and


    shower stuff was put in. Why was I in here?


    Celia noticed my confused facial expression. "I was thinking we could use some freshening up, a


    shower or a bath." She said.


    I shook my head so hard that the room started to spin around. Just being in the bathroom brings back


    memories I don''t want to think of.


    "Why not my dear, Alea?"


    "It''s nothing." I told her and I tried to turn around to walk out of there but Celia turned my back so I


    faced her.


    "Of course it must be something. You don''t need to tell me now, but I''m going to guess it has something


    to do with your past." Celia said.


    I didn''t know what to answer, so I just nodded. I felt Celia''s hands move under my eyes, I didn''t notice


    that I was crying and I looked up at her.


    "Shh my child. I know this is hard on you but just look at you, I can tell it was probably a long time ago


    that you had a shower or a bath. I don''t want to force you to do anything, but I promise that you will feel


    much better after a bath. I will be here with you all the way. I will not let anything happen. I know you


    have been through alot but somewhere you have to take a step to get on your way to recover." She


    had a really calm voice.


    I sat down on the toilet when I saw Celia walk over to the bathtub and turn on the water. She put


    something in the bottom of the tube, I guess it was something that will keep the water in the tub. I know


    what it is but I just can''t remember what it''s called.


    I heard the water ssh in the tub and while the water filled up she helped me to take my clothes off.


    Once she had pulled my clothes off I noticed it was not my rags that I had before. I had not noticed this


    before.


    "Where are the clothes I had on me?" I asked in curiosity.

    had torn them off of you, so my sister Cassie gave you some clothes she had never used before.


    I just nodded and looked down at myself. I could see all my scars I got over the years as a prisoner. It


    was scarred all the way from my legs up to my back. I had bite marks here and there.


    Celia turned around to turn off the water and then walked back to me. She helped me walk to the tub.


    When I was beside the tub I started to have a panic attack. Celia hugs me and tries to calm me down.


    "I know you don''t want to tell me anything about your past right now but please tell me why are you


    afraid of the water."


    I thought to myself for a few seconds before I started to exin it to her. "For the past few years, the


    people that held me tried to drown me a couple of times and they almost seeded. That''s why." My


    words stumbled over my lips as tears ran down my cheeks.


    "My dear Alea, I will not let that happen. If you feel safer you can hold this pen to my stomach. Just


    rx and trust me." Celia said to me in a trusting voice that made me want to believe her.


    I nodded at her, but I was still scared as hell, and with that she helped me to get in the tub. The first


    thing I felt was warm water and the warmth filled my body. The water was not deep at all, it only came a


    little over my hips. Celia took the shower hose and turned on the water, she looked at me.


    "I am just going to soak you down so I can wash you."


    I was terrified and I pushed the pen against her stomach and I know she felt it.


    "It''s okay, now the water wille. Will you lean back for me?" She asked me


    I did what she said and the second the water came over me I did have some shbacks and I could not


    take it. Celia noticed it and stopped to make sure I was fine. After I calmed down she asked to try one


    more time but this time I tried not to think about the past, so I enjoyed the warm water that touched my


    skin.


    "When was thest time you had a shower? This water is so dirty already." Celia said with concern in


    her voice.


    "I don''t know, I don''t remember, thest time I remember is 5 years ago."


    "Oh my God! That long? Then I really have to scrub you." She said with a littleugh.


    She washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner and scrubbed my body with some shower soap. At


    the time she started to wash me someone knocked on the door.

    "Come in!" Celia shouts out.


    Cassie walks in to offer her sister some help and notices the pen Aleera had in her hand that was held


    against her sister''s stomach.


    ''Celia why is she holding a pen to your stomach?'' She asked through the mind link in panic.


    ''I gave it to her so she would feel safe. It''s because she has some trauma from her past.'' Celia


    answered back. Cassie calmed down when she heard that. Both of them helped Aleera up and put a


    towel over her head to dry her hair then they put a robe over her body.


    Cassie took out a brush to fix Aleera¡¯s hair.


    "Alea, is it okay with you if I cut some of your hair? A bit of your hair is so damaged. It will help your


    hair to grow more beautiful." Cassie asked while she brushed her hair.


    Aleera just nodded because she enjoyed this feeling. Cassie took scissors and cut off the hair that was


    damaged. But she was of course careful not to scare Aleera.


    "Would you like a french braid?" Cassie asked Aleera after she finished cutting her hair

    Aleera remembers that her mom used to do that when she was a kid so she nodded again. Aleera


    could feel Cassie braiding her hair. When Cassie was done they both helped Aleera


    put on a light pink PJ¡¯s.


    Celia walks in front of Aleera and Cassie walks behind her from the bathroom to the hospital bed. They


    helped her in the bed and put the white duvet back over her.


    Aleera hadn''t noticed that Cassie had put new food for her to eat on the table beside her bed before


    she came to help in the bathroom. This time it was some sort of soup. Celia helped Aleera to eat


    everything and then she told Aleera that she needed to get some rest. Aleera crawled down and she


    closed her eyes. It didn''t take long before she drifted off into a deep sleep.

    For the first time in a long time I was able to sleep without any nightmares. You can just guess how


    nice it was, I had nothing to worry about.


    I felt something move over my right cheek. What was this strange and unfamiliar feeling that this touch


    left me with? Why does it feel like my guts are filled with butterflies and electricity that travels over my


    body?


    Then the feeling was gone. It was probably nothing, so I didn''t think much about it and I tried to get

    After I left Alea¡¯s room I walked towards my room. I entered the packhouse and walked up the stairs to


    the third floor, I was the only one that lived on this floor since my parents died. I opened my room and


    walked in.


    My room had a gray color on the walls and the floor was a darker gray colored carpet. I had a ss


    sliding French door that led to a balcony with a view over the forest. It went from the floor all the way to


    the ceiling and had ck curtains on both sides. My king-size bed was stationed by the left wall with a


    portrait of my mother and me over it. To the right side of my room I had a 75 inches t screen.


    Between my bed and my t-screen TV and a ck couch. I also had two more doors in my room, one


    of them led to my huge walk-in closet and the second one was to my master bathroom.


    I sat down on my bed leaning forward putting my elbows on my legs, my face in my hands while I

    In my bathroom I had the toilet on the right side and beside it I had a white basin. My shower is located


    to the left and is big enough to fit two people, I preferred a shower over a bath.

    shower for maybe 30 minutes. When I was done I stepped out and took a towel to dry myself and then I

    It had been a few days since Darius was here and told me that I was his mate. I remember my wolf

    My breath got caught in my throat, It felt like I couldn''t breathe. Why the hell am I going to live on the


    third floor with Darius and why am I going to move to the pack house? I don''t want to live there not after


    what I have been through.


    I was shaking my head so much that my long dark blonde hair danced with my movement. Celia took


    my hands and I looked at her still shaking my head but slower now.


    "Hun, you can''t stay here forever. You will still be safe even if you move to the pack house. The pack


    house is the safest ce you can be at Alea." Celia tells me in a calm voice.

    cheeks. Celia moves her hands over my cheeks to wipe away the tears. When she was finished she

    The room was left in total silence for a few minutes until Darius finally broke it.

    you will be safe. Your room is next to mine and I have fixed up your room all by myself."

    mine. During the time we stared at one another it felt like it was only the two of us in the room and no

    could tell she was mind linking her sister. Then I saw Cassie start to walk up to me to disconnect me


    from the machines.

    When they had removed all the cables from me I looked down at the end of the bed and I could see

    "If you want I can stay and help you or we all will go outside and wait for you to change your clothes."


    "Are you really throwing me out?" I asked with a sad broken voice as tears threatened toe back.

    always be around here." Celia said to me.


    "Do you want help or should we wait for you outside?" She asked me.

    Celia helped me to sit up and she took the ck sweatpants and the grey hoodie from the bed and she


    held it up to me. After I put on the big gray hoodie she helped me to put my legs through the


    sweatpants and stand up. When we were done I pulled the hood over my face and let Celia lead me


    out from the hospital room. Celia opened the door and I saw Cassie and Darius waiting outside. We


    walked out from the hospital wing and walked towards my new room.

    Third POV


    As they walked towards the pack house Aleera could feel people were staring at her and she didn''t like


    it, it made her feel ufortable. She lowered her head so they couldn''t see her.


    Darius walked beside Aleera. While Celia and Cassie were behind them. They walked for a few


    minutes before they reached the pack house.


    The pack house was not a house. It was more like a mansion with three floors. In front of the house


    was awn with a fountain in the middle of it. We walked past it and reached stone steps. Aleera


    looked up just a little to notice the big ck doors. When they were standing by the stone steps Aleera


    started to breathe heavily like she was going to have a panic attack.


    Celia was right there beside her to make her breath in a deep and calm breath. Aleera''s body shivered


    so much that she had to sit down on the ground.


    With a stuttering voice Aleera said, "Ple..ase, do..n''t ma..ke me live th..ere, I can''t."


    Celia got down on her knees and moved her hand up and down Aleera''s back.

    shoulder. She looks up and sees that Darius hase down to eye level.


    "Alea, if the first steps into my pack house are too hard on you I can carry you in, with your permission

    Aleera nodded her head to Darius''s proposal, Darius kept his facial expressions intact and scooped her


    up to carry her bridal style. Aleera puts her arms around Darius''s neck for support. She buries her face

    mixture of strawberries and choctes and it helps her rx.


    Darius walked up to the pack house with Aleera in his arms. Celia opened the front door and they


    walked in. Darius could feel that Aleera was shivering in fear in his arms. He moved his head just little


    and whispered in Aleera''s ear.


    "Shh, everything will be fine, I''m here with you."


    Aleera increased the hold on Darius''s neck as they walked through his house and climbed the stairs to


    the third floor.


    When we had reached the third floor it was a long hall. The walls were covered in pictures and were a


    dark red color. Darius stopped in front of a door and somehow he managed to open it while still holding


    her.


    Behind the door was arge room. The walls were a shade of darker beige color with light beige carpet


    that covered the whole floor and a crystal chandelier was hanging from the ceiling. The room also had


    a ss sliding french door that went from the floor to the ceiling with light gray curtains on both sides.


    Beside the ss door were two beige colored armchairs and through the ss door was a balcony that


    connected to Darius''s balcony.


    On the right side of the room there was a queen sized bed with a ck frame and on each side of the


    bed were ck bedside tables. On the left side were two more doors, one to the bathroom and one to


    the walk-in closet.

    Darius put Aleera on the edge of the bed and she looked around the room. It was so open and light.


    She was stunned at the sight.


    "I hope you like your room. My room is right next door." Darius said to Aleera.

    grown up in a room like this and never had to go through what she did.


    "The second door to the right is your walk-in closet. I sent my betas mate Nicole to the mall to pick out

    the amount she had eaten. She got up and walked to the walk-in-closet to pick out something for


    Aleera to wear to bed. She found blue PJs for Aleera. Once dressed Aleera crawled under the white

    she left the light on on the bedside table.

    I went to my bed two hours ago and I was not able to fall asleep. Iid on my back above my duvet in


    my boxers and sweatpants. I have been tossing and turning the whole time. I¡¯ve triedying on my


    back, both of my sides, and my stomach but nothing worked. I was starting to grow restless.


    I have been working my ass off me with a lot of paperwork since I left Alea''s room trying to figure out


    what pack she belonged to and why the moonlit pack hunted her down and beat her, but I haven''t been


    able to find out anything.


    Every time I close my eyes my brain goes haywire trying to figure out why anyone would do that to her.


    I put my right arm over my eyes trying again. I breathed in a deep and calm breath trying to sleep when


    I heard an ear-piercing scream echo through my packhouse.


    I jumped out of my bed and ran toward my door. I opened the door and came out in the hallway and I


    heard the screaminging from Alea''s room.


    "They are here! Get them off me!"


    I ran towards her door and threw it open and saw Alea sitting up in her bed screaming her lungs out. I


    ran to her and took hold of her arms while looking straight at her face. Her eyes were empty and they


    showed so much fear.


    "Alea! What''s the matter?"


    I don''t think she heard me because she was still screaming her lungs out.


    "Alea, calm down no one is here." I told her trying to calm her down. But whatever I did, nothing


    worked.


    While I tried to make her stop screaming I heard some of my pack members asking through our mind-

    one of my old teachers taught us. I just hope she will forgive me for this.


    I smashed my lips against hers, making her hold her breath and at the same time stopping her panic


    attack. I held her in my arms with my lips on hers. I moved my hand up to her cheek and deepened the


    kiss, even if this was not my intention. I just couldn''t help myself, she tasted so amazing. I licked the


    bottom of her lip to ask permission, I never thought she would open up to me but she did and I stuck


    my tongue in. She tasted even more amazing than I ever imagined.


    ''I have to stop this before I end up in an awkward situation.'' I thought to myself when I felt my member


    start to grow in my sweatpants. I broke the kiss and I looked at Alea and I could see that she was now


    calm and her breath was back to normal. I just hope she will forgive me. I did promise that she could


    trust me and I didn¡¯t want to force myself on her.


    She looked at me in shock. Her eyes were red and swollen from all the crying. I still had one of my


    hands on her cheek and the other on her lower back. I could see the fear on her face and the tears that


    threatened to escape her eyes again.


    "Shh, Alea. Everything will be fine. I am here."


    I slowly put my arms around her to give herfort. It was then I noticed that she leaned her face


    against my bare chest and I started to rock her back and forth. I could feel that she rxed more and


    more in my arms. It was then I leaned down and kissed her on the top of the head. We sat like this for a


    while but when I started to notice that she was about to fall asleep leaning against me I put her head on


    the pillow and put the duvet over her body and tucked her in. I got off the bed and started walking


    towards the door when I felt a hand grab my arm stopping me in ce. I turned back and saw her look


    right up at me.


    "Please. Stay," She said in a whisper.


    I looked at her and thought for myself. ''Did I just hear right?''


    "Are you sure?" I asked back.


    She just nodded and took a breath. "I don''t want to be alone" With a low voice.


    I gave her a smile and I got back in the bed, but I was on top of the duvet. Iid my arm over her and


    she snuggled closer to me. I felt happy that she asked me to stay. Xander screamed in joy.

    morning when she wakes up.''


    I am happy that I have found my mate. After all, I have been looking for her for such a long time. But


    laying here next to her was hard for me because my instinct told me to mate and mark her, it''s our


    nature. I can''t do that to her or to me. Not after what she has been through, not right now, I will wait till


    she is ready. I could feel that she was breathing deep so I knew she was about to fall asleep. I will just


    hold her a little more before I go back to my own room.


    It took a while before she was fully asleep. I moved away from her and slowly took my arm away from


    her so I could get up and leave, but as I moved my arm away she started to make sounds that sounded


    like her mind and dreams were haunting her. I put my arm around her once again and the second I had


    my arm around her she was quiet. I tried to leave a few more times but every time I took my arm off her


    she made that sound again. So eventually I gave up and decided to stay and sleep next to her. I pulled


    her close to my chest and wrapped both arms around her to make her feel safe and to make sure she


    sleeps all she needs to.


    I closed my eyes and I leaned against her and fell asleep beside her smelling her amazing scent, both I


    and Xander were happy but we both were a little frightened about how she would react when she

    I am half asleep and could feel the warmth around my body. I could also feel some weird


    heaviness that I never felt before. This was a really nice night I was able to sleep the whole night. I kept

    something breath on my neck.


    I opened my eyes and I looked down at my waist and I could see an arm. I thought to myself, ¡®what the

    chocte. I moved my head just a little bit so I could look behind me and I saw Darius. Why was he


    here and why is he holding me? I took a hold of the duvet close to my chest so that I could move away


    from him. As I moved away I must have woken him up because when I looked back he was awake. He


    looked at me and he probably saw the fear that crossed my face.


    He put his arms up in surrender and I took a breath.


    "Alea, you don''t need to be scared I know this probably looks weird to you but I promise I did not do


    anything to you."


    "What are you doing in here?" I asked him with a scared voice.


    "You had a nightmarest night and was screaming so bad that you woke up the whole packhouse.


    People thought that we were under attack. You asked me to stay here with you."


    He took a breath and then continued.


    "I tried to go back to my room when you fell asleep but every time I moved away from you, you would


    make weird sounds like your mind and your dreams were being haunted so that''s why I stayed the


    whole night with you." He said so calmly.


    Now I was in shock. Did I really say that he could stay here? I held the duvet to my chest covering me

    at all. I was so deep in my own thoughts trying to figure out my dream fromst night that I had not

    Aleera''s POV


    After Darius had left my room I decided toy down for a bit. But I couldn''t getfortable so I got up


    and walked into my walk-in-closet to take a look around it for something to wear. I finally decided on a


    pair of white sweatpants and a ck tank top. When I was done in the closet I walked out and my eyes


    looked at the bathroom door. I have been a prisoner in my own home for so many years without the


    opportunity to have a shower. I looked back at the door to the room and because i was alone it would


    not be that scary and no one could do anything to me. So I decided to have a shower. I walked into the


    bathroom and I locked the door, just in case.


    I stripped my PJs off and got in the shower. The hot water ran down my body helping to wash away my


    irritation and helping to rx my muscles. I was in the shower for at least thirty minutes. When I felt I


    was done I turned off the water and stepped out. I dried myself off with my towel and sat down on the


    toilet to get dressed. Celia and Cassie had talked to me about going to get special training with them in


    two weeks or so because I have never trained before. She also wanted to see how my muscles would


    handle it and if they woulde back to normal strength. Celia had talked to Darius about it also. I did


    look forward to it but at the same time I didn''t.


    When I was back in my room I could see the sun was shining in through the ss door into my room. It


    has been so long since I have been outside. I have lived in a room with no windows and this was my


    opportunity to go outside. I really wanted to go outside to feel the sun rays on my skin. I walked


    towards my door and opened it and started walking down the hallway to the stairs to the first floor.


    Once on the first floor I heard voices in a room close to the staircase and I knew that I would not go


    over there, I was not ready to meet anyone from his pack that I have not already met. So I walked in


    the other direction and I ended up at the back exit.


    When I had exited the house I ended up in the backyard. In the backyard was a huge sitting lounge


    with light brown wood chairs and benches. There were flowers in the ground and in flowerpots. When I


    looked up I saw outdoor string lights hanging from the closest trees and a wooden privacy screen but it


    was not on during the day, it was so magnificent. The forest was just a few feet away so I started to


    walk towards it


    I walked around the backyard for a bit then moved to the outskirts of the forest for a while before I


    decided to leave for a bit and be alone to think in peace, something I had not experienced in a long


    time.


    As I reached the forest line I looked back at the house and then back to the forest. This would be my


    second time in a forest since I escaped. Am I strong enough to do it? I took a breath in and then started


    to walk into the forest. I decided to walk instead of run, I wanted to enjoy the view. While I was walking


    around the forest looking at everything and admiring everything my eyes could see it felt like someone


    was watching me but I ignored it. When the feeling did not disappear it started to creep me out so I


    started to run. The feeling did not leave even if I ran away from it so I tried to run faster but now I could


    hear paws hitting the ground and became scared.


    I pushed myself to run even faster. I wanted to get away from whatever was chasing me. Darius


    promised me that I would be safe on his territory, but he lied to me. He must have lied, if he was not


    then why was someone chasing me on HIS territory? The fear I felt was so bad that it made me run


    faster than I ever thought I could. I just want to get away. I want to be safe!


    I still can''t shift, Celia believes it''s because of all the stuff me and Pixie have been through. And as you


    all know, we female wolves can''t shift before we meet our mate.


    I was pushed to the ground and it brought me back to some of the horrible memories from that night


    and I felt tears forming in my eyes. I turned around slowly because I was scared. What I saw when I


    had turned around was a young boy, maybe in his early twenty. He had blonde hair and two different


    eye colors, the left one was blue and the right one was green. He then bent down and he grabbed my


    arms with such force that I knew I was going to bruise from it.


    "How dare a rogue like you enter our territory. " He screamed at me and his hold on my arms got


    harder.


    I tried to push him away. "I am not a rogue, I am a guest here."

    and he also had the upper hand. I was screaming and screaming to the point it hurt my lungs and


    throat. I don''t know for how long I have been trying to fight him off when I heard one powerful


    voice.

    "AARON, release her this instant!"


    Aaron turned his head to face the direction we heard the voice and he saw an angry James storming


    towards them.


    "Why? She¡¯s a rogue."


    "She is not a rogue. She''s our alpha''s mate, our future Luna. Do you have any idea what you have


    done!?" James said, shaking with anger.


    Aaron let go of his grip around Aleera''s throat and got off her, stepping away from her. He bent his


    head down bowing and showing his neck in submission to show James that he regrets what he did.


    Aleera was still crying heavily and her breathing was fast so she was starting to have a panic attack.


    She got up on all four and started to crawl away from both Aaron and James. When she had some


    distance between them she put her arms around herself and started to rock back and forth.


    ¡°I am sorry, I didn''t know. Why hasn''t our Alpha said anything?" Aaron asked James and he used a low


    voice while still looking at the ground as he still was scared of what James would do or say to him.

    other pack members found and saved her she has only been in our hospital and she was just


    discharged from the hospital yesterday. She has not yet epted him but he has epted her.¡± James

    he did, just the thought of how the alpha will react sent a shiver down his back.

    When they arrived at the packhouse he took her up to her room. Once inside her room, he walked over

    What was he talking about, me the future luna, he must be crazy. I am not fit to be their luna, I am a


    mess. I just escaped years and years of being a prisoner. She shakes her head no to what he said, I


    am not going to be their luna. I just want to be free.


    Darius was about to answer her but a knock on the door interrupted him and the door opened and


    James''s head popped in between the door and the doorframe.


    "Sorry Alpha, our guest is here now. Pleasee down when you have finished talking to her."


    "I will be down shortly." Darius informed James.


    James closed the door and walked back down to greet their guests. Darius looked back to Aleera.


    "Will you do me one favor and please stay here while I have a meeting with the other alphas from the


    other packs? If something happens to you while I am at the meeting I don''t know what I will do." He


    said to her and he could not resist his urge to lean in. His lips touched hers briefly.

    "I am sorry, it was probably too fast. I couldn¡¯t stop myself." Darius said to her. She could see the pain

    After she left I felt like I needed to be freshened up, So went to the bathroom and I locked the door


    automatically. I walked over to the sink and when I saw myself in the mirror above it I could see how


    red and swollen my eyes were after all the crying. I turned the water tap on and filled my hands with


    cold water to ssh over my face so the redness and swelling would reduce.


    While I washed my face I remembered what the moon goddess had told me when I met her before.


    She said that this was my destiny. How could this be my destiny, to be chased after, molested by every


    man I see? I don''t deserve this and I know for sure I can''t take it anymore.


    I put so much force into my fist and smashed it into the mirror, I could not stand looking at myself. I


    could hear the sound of ss pieces hitting the floor after I had broken the mirror into pieces. I looked


    down at my knuckles and saw blood, not a little bit of blood either. I could see some small ss pieces


    that were stuck around my knuckles and out of the corner of my eye I saw that there were some pieces


    laying in the sink with my blood on them.


    In the sink I saw one big ss piece. I picked it up and clenched my hand around it. I could feel the


    piece cutting into my skin. This is just too much for me to handle, I can''t do it anymore. Without any


    hesitation I drove the big ss piece into my stomach and pulled to the side so it left a big flesh wound.


    I felt the warm liquid dripping from my stomach down to the floor. I felt that my body get heavier and


    heavier until I was no longer able to stand up and I copsed on the tiled floor.


    I was still wide awake when I heard Celia on the other side of the door. I could see that the door handle


    was moving up and down faster and faster so I guess she can smell the blood. She kept screaming at


    me.


    "OPEN the door ALEA! I can SMELL the BLOOD! What have you done? OPEN the DOOR


    immediately!"


    When she did not hear me answer her she continued to call out and bang on the door. But I guess her


    patience was gone so when I heard a loud brake I knew she had kicked in the door.


    "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" She yells at me when she grabs a towel from the shelf and puts it on my


    wound and applies pressure to it to help stop the bleeding. Celia got bloodstains on her hands from


    putting pressure on it with the towel. During this urrence neither me or Celia had noticed that Cassie


    had entered and the first thing she was seeing was me on the floor bleeding out. When Celia noticed


    her sister she screamed out to her.

    Darius POV


    Before I went down to meet up with my guest I went to my bedroom to have a quick shower. After the


    shower I put on dark blue jeans and a ck tight shirt.


    I heard voices when I got downstairs and by the tone that they used I knew that something must have


    happened. As I opened the door to the dining room everyone got quiet and looked at me.


    The dining room was bright and had white walls with light cream curtains on each side of the big


    windows. In the middle was a long brown table that fitted twenty chairs around it. I looked around and I


    saw James standing on the other side of the room having a conversation with Alpha ke. I walked


    towards them.


    "So what happened this time? As all off you showed up unannounced!" I asked Alpha ke when I


    reached them.


    "Darius, we are sorry that we showed up here unannounced but Isaac has struck again. That¡¯s why we


    needed to have an emergency meeting." Alpha Lucius answered my question as he appeared behind


    me overhearing my question to ke.


    I turned around to face Lucius. "What? Who has he killed now?" I asked him with so much shock in my


    voice but it held anger in it too.


    "It''s Alpha Raymond and his pack. No one made it out alive." Lucius answered me back and sighed, he


    had lost his neighbor and friend.


    What?" Was the only thing I could get out as I thought about how Alpha Raymond was a peaceful man


    and how kind he was.


    I left my spot and walked towards my seat. As I was taking my seat everyone was taking their seat as


    well. I was sitting there taking in the devastating news I found out, which took me a few minutes to


    digest the news. As I digested it I looked around the table to see that everyone was looking at me


    waiting for me to say something.


    Around the table were Alpha Alejandro, Alpha Mathew, Alpha Lucius, and Alpha ke with their beta


    beside them and on the phone, we had 5 other alphas listening in. Alpha Zane, Alpha Corey, Alpha


    Emilio, Alpha Tristan, and Alpha Philip. They wanted to help but unfortunately, they are either too far


    away or they can''t help during the fights because they are no longer as strong as they used to be.


    A long time ago we were 20 strong Alphas spread out around this country but it all started 5 years ago


    when Alpha Isaac went nuts and started to kill everything and everyone that was standing in his way.


    Today we have only 10 packs left.


    We have had war after war during these past 5 years, and we have lost other packs and friends, as we


    also have tried to help each other out we have been losing members. So now it only depends on


    Alejandro and Mathew and ke and myself to end this was before we all die


    "Who found out about Alpha Raymond and his pack?" I asked everyone.


    Alpha Mathew was the one to answer my question. "I sent some of my warriors to his pack when I


    didn''t get a response from him for the past few days. I knew then something had happened when they


    came back they told me they confirmed my suspicions. They told me there were dead bodies lying


    everywhere, some beheaded and some without limbs. They looked for survivors but there were none


    alive¡±. And that''s when all hell broke loss with everyone talking at once and not listening to each other.


    I leaned back in my chair and started to massage my nose bridge with my thumb and index finger. I


    was trying to figure out a n so we all would survive. We need a good strategy to take down Isaac


    and his pack. We need to take him by surprise as that would only help us. Every time we have tried to


    attack him, he has somehow known about it and has been prepared for us. We need toe up with a


    perfect surprise attack n to take him and his pack down once and for all. But the other alpha''s were


    having a heated conversation and my patience was running out fast as I got up from my chair, I had


    enough.

    I did not give Cassie any answer back. I just ran out from the room leaving the other alphas without


    saying anything to them. All that mattered to me was Alea nothing else. I ran up the stairs to the third


    floor and down the hall to her room. The second I entered her room I could smell her blood. I found


    them all in the bathroom and the scene I saw when I entered was Alea on the floor and Celia almost on


    top of her applying pressure to her stomach with a towel. Alea was still wide awake and she found my


    eyes when I entered. I rushed to her side and got down on my knees beside her head.


    "What have you done?" I asked her and I was really worried about her condition.


    "I am so sorry, I couldn''t take it anymore. So much pain." She answers me with a stuttering voice and


    tears running down from her eyes. I ced both my hands on her face whipping away her tears with


    my thumbs.


    "''You can''t do this to yourself just because you can''t handle your trauma. Let me in so I can help you to


    deal with it. I am here with you and I can¡¯t lose you." I said back to her and it could be heard in my


    voice that it was broken by her action


    Alea did not answer me back, I was looking at her hoping she would answer me when I noticed Cassie


    coming in with some medical tools. When did she leave?


    "Keep her still." Celia said to me. I did as she told me to. Then Alea screamed out in pain, I looked


    down and saw Celia punching a needle into the wound to help speed up the process for her to heal,


    she is still too weak to heal fast like others can and hurting herself did not help her recovering state at


    all. She only put in like 6 stitches and then ced a bandage over it. When I looked back on Alea''s


    face she had passed out.


    I looked back at Celia and Cassie and they were now standing up. Celia was whipping her hands off


    and she was about to open her mouth but I knew what she was going to say so I picked Alea up and


    brought her to the bed. When I had put her white duvet over her I turned around to Celia and Cassie


    "She has been sedated and will be out for the next 24 hours. But from her actions today I suggest that


    we don''t leave her alone anymore, someone needs to be with her all the time. She will probably do this


    again to herself if she is alone." Celia said to me then she looked over to her sister.


    "Cassie, do you mind staying here with her? I need to go back to the clinic and Darius needs to go


    back to his meeting. He can send you back as soon as he is done with the meeting." Celia asked her


    sister. Cassie nodded her head. Before leaving I walked over to Alea and kissed her forehead. Then we


    both left the room, leaving Cassie there to watch over Alea.


    Third POV


    Darius went back to his meeting with the other Alpha''s. As he got to the first floor he still had the image


    in his mind of how she wasying on the floor. He still had it on his mind when he entered the room.


    The facial expressions he was faced with when he came back to the other alpha''s was worry and


    confusion.


    "Sorry that I rushed out of the meeting but my mate tried to kill herself." Darius told the other alphas.


    "I didn''t know you had a mate. Congrattions and I sincerely hope that she is okay. I do hope it''s


    nothing serious." Alpha Mathew said.


    "Thanks, she is okay for now. She drove a piece of ss into her stomach." Darius said back.


    "Oh my god. Why did she do that?" All the alphas said together.


    Darius walked back to his seat, wondering why she would do this to herself. She looked fine when he


    left her earlier. As he sat down he noticed that everyone was looking at him and waiting for him to


    answer them. But what could he tell them, he does not that much himself


    "She is suffering from some sort of trauma, she has not told me anything yet. I have almost lost her


    four-time since I saved her from being attacked three weeks ago" Darius told the other Alpha''s and


    they were shocked by what he had told them


    "Who attacked her?" Alpha Alejandro asked.


    "The moonlit pack." Darius said with anger in his voice.


    When Darius said the moonlit pack the room became silent instead


    "Why would the moonlit pack attack her?" Alpha ke asked, breaking the silence in the room.


    "I have no idea." Darius said back sadly.


    "How much do you know about her? has she told you what pack she belongs to or if she knows why


    they attacked her?" Alpha Alejandro asked Darius


    "No, she has yet not opened up, she is too afraid. Every time I try to talk about it or ask about her past


    she hurts herself. She has told me that she does not want to talk about what she has been through, it''s


    painful for her. She has not answered me what pack she belongs to, but she belongs to my pack now


    as she is my mate" Darius answered Alejandro''s question.


    "What is her name?" Alpha Lucius asked


    "She has not told us her full name. She has only told us a nickname and that is Alea. She has not even


    told us herst name." Darius stated looking around the room hoping that someone would recognize


    the name but no one did. But they said they would ask around in their pack to see if anyone did


    recognize it.


    They left the Aleera subject and went on with the real problem to find a solution to stop Isaac and his


    pack but after four hours no one hade up with anything they agreed to think about it on their own


    and then tell everyone at the next meeting. Darius has tried to be a part of this meeting but he has


    been half-minded worrying about his mate two floors above him.


    After the meeting, Darius went up to Aleera¡¯s room and told Cassie that he would stay and keep


    observation over her. He sat in the armchair for the rest of the night and kept a close eye on his


    beloved and broken mate Aleera

    I opened my eyes slowly and my head felt so heavy because every move I did felt like I was going to


    pass out again. I moved my head to the left slowly and found Darius sleeping in one of my armchairs.


    Has he been here all night? He must have because he has the same clothing on as he did yesterday.


    As I tried to sit up I felt a sharp pain in the area when I punched in the ss piece yesterday.


    I took off my duvet to do some inspections on my wound when I found a bloody bandage on. I sighed


    and pulled the duvet back on because I got cold when I took it off. I looked at Darius again and called


    out to him.

    Darius woke up after I called for him once. He got up from the armchair and came over to me in a sh.

    Darius left the house to go for a run to calm himself down. After he left the house he mind linked Celia


    and told her about what happened and that she should go up to Alea. When Celia was outside Alea''s


    room she did not open it and she refused to, she screamed that she wanted to be left alone.


    Celia tried over and over to get Alea to open up the door. She even brought lunch with her but she still


    refused to open the door.

    Later that evening, I was sitting on my bed with gray leggings and a loose ck tank top. I have been

    hush written by Ba Fitzpatrick. I decided to give it a try since I had nothing to do. As I started to read


    the first chapter I was shocked.
