Chapter 10: Run Mason
"There''s my little boy!" I look up from ying with Rex and see her. Kaylee. "Mommy missed you so
much cutie!" She picks me up and kisses all over my face. "Get off Kaylee!" She smirks and puts me
back down.
"Here''s a new y mate for you baby boy!" I look up and see my best friend. My brother. The one who
I got into this. "Mason?" He sits next to me, sucking on a green pacifier, looking down at the grass.

don''t want to talk about it." He looks back down and Rexes over to him before I can say anything
else.
"Hiya my names Rex, what''s your name?" Mason draws in the grass with his finger, not making eye
contact with either of us. "That''s Mason, he''s kind of sad today." I grip his shoulder and squeeze it for
first day as a baby." Rex nodds his head in understanding and hands Mason a toy car. "Here you can

Rex has the same affect on everyone. He''s just so friendly and innocent. I sigh and crawl more towards
Rex.
"Can you help me with something?" Rex smiled and nodds his head. I whisper in his ear and he shakes
his head. "What if mommy gets mad?" I look around then back at him. "I promise you won''t get in any
trouble Rex please?" I show him the Batman bracelet on my wrist. "You wearing it?! Yay!" He giggles
and nodds his head. "Otay Landy." I smile and crawl back towards Mason, letting him in on my n.
"Do you feel any different? Like from um medicine?" He shakes his head. "I made sure not to drink
anything today." I smile and nodd my head towards Rex.
"Mommy! Mommy!" Rex screams out holding his arm, running towards Ste. "What''s the matter
honey?" I slowly move away from Mason. "Landy tripped me!" He starts to cry and Ste picks him up.
"Aw baby I''m sure he didn''t mean it." I crawl towards them more. "Landone here right now." Cindy
pretend to cry and that''s Rex''s cue. "It''s okay mommy it no hurt anymore. Can I has juice?" Ste puts
him down and turns around to get Rex a juice box, leaving Rex to go under the bench and find Kaylees
keys. Cindy and I may have walked here but Kaylee and Mason didn''t. I keep ''crying'' and grabbing at
Kaylee and Cindy, making the distractionst longer. "Landon what''s wrong honey? What''s the
matter?" Rex quickly puts the keys in myp and goes back to Ste. I point down at the grass,
motioning that I wanna be put down when Kaylee grabs my butt. "You can go y after a change,
someone''s wet again" She smiles and goes toy me down. Dammit. Why is my dder betraying me?
I squirm trying to get down but she grips me tighter, Cindy goes to get the diaper bag and I throw Rex
the keys with all my strength, not caring at this point if they see.
Unfortunately, I have the strength of a toddler now, so they didn''t go very far. Rexughs hystetically at
this and grabs the keys running to Mason. I roll my eyes and watch the two out of the corner of my eye
while I get changed. Rex drops the keys in Mason''sp and quickly runs back to Ste for his juice.
Mason just sits there, staring at the keys. Mason you fucking idiot run! He''s thrown off from Rex
handing him the keys and not me. We were gonna ditch together but I''m a bit busy. As long as one of
us gets out of this, it''s still a victory. It''s my fault he''s like this anyway. "Mason go! RUN!" He gets up
and starts to run looking behind him onest time. "IT''S OKAY BRO RUN! GO!" He nodds and makes
his way to the car.
The girls try to catch up with him, leaving me naked from the waist down on the bench. He speeds off,
Rex and I high five as the girls make their way back. Kaylee picks me up, still naked down there and
bends me over herp "You are in so much fucking trouble Landon." I gulp. At least Mason''s free, for
now.
