    Arsi turned on the saw, charging forward. Wilbur looked up to see the Night Demon suddenly getting on his feet, running toward them.


    "You''re all going to die!"


    The Night Demon let out a cold, murderousugh as it pounced on Arsi. Wilbur jumped in front of Arsi at the veryst second, swinging out with his weapon. The Night Demon was cut clean in half, toppling over immediately.


    Blood gushed everywhere, and the air was silent aside from the buzzing of Arsi''s saw and his panting as he stared at Wilbur in disbelief. "Mister Penn... Y-You''re a cultivator?"


    "Yes, I am. Leave the Night Demons to me."


    Wilbur looked at Arsi, but his gaze turned firm. "Thank you, Mister Penn, but I''ll stick by your side and fight till the very end."


    Arsi did not need to take part in the battle at all, but Wilbur saw the determination in his gaze and did not turn him down.


    Everyone had their own firm beliefs. Maybe the death of Arsi''s friend affected Arsi so greatly that he was now willing to fight the Night Demons to the death rather than leave Diseya.


    "Stay close to me. You can activate your light if something happens."


    "Understood, Mister Penn. Don''t worry, I''m not as weak as you think I am. In fact, I would have been able to take that Night Demon down if you left it to me."


    Just then, a Night Demon leaped off a roof. Wilbur swung his de outward and killed it instantly.


    Wilbur went around Diseya with Arsi after that, killing almost a hundred Night Demons in the process. Through this, Wilbur realized that there was nothing special to these monsters aside from their speed and ability to jump high.


    The Night Demons may be a challenge to cultivators of Ambience and Aura level cultivators, but they were hardly anything to someone at Wilbur''s level.


    Wilbur and Arsi killed up to a hundred Night Demons through the night, which excited Arsi as he said, "If this goes on, we''ll be able to kill all the Night Demons in just three days."


    "I sure hope that''s the case."


    Wilbur and Arsi spent the next three nights roaming the streets in Diseya, killing every Night Demon they saw. Although the Night Demons were rather weak and the two men were able to kill over two hundred of them in just three nights, Wilbur knew that the Night Demons would never be gone for good until they found the reason they appeared in the first ce.


    If the Night Demons continued to exist, they would be a huge threat for sure.


    Despite the fact that the Night Demon gics would only be activated at night, and they would not attack in the day, they were a species blessed with quick speed and great strength. They even had intelligenceparable to that of humans, and their mutant gics were incredibly contagious.


    Wilbur had once been the head of the Abyss Mercenaries and had thus amassed quite a bit of information that regr people would usually not be able to get their hands on. Through one of the Abyss Mercenaries'' missions around the world, Wilbur hade across information on zombies appearing in a country due to their research on new medicine.


    There had only been three zombies at first, but more and more people got infected eventually and the country''s army lost ten thousand soldiers to get rid of the zombiespletely.


    It was a painful price to pay, considering there were only three hundred test subjects for the experiment.


    Diseya had a poption of a hundred thousand people, so the Night Demons were a terrible threat.
