"George?"
"Yes. Lord Edmund might be one of the nine City Lords, but he has no allies among them. George is the only one he has a decent rtionship with, and I think Edmund''s trying to butter up to him. After all, Edmund''s position as City Lord would be much more secure with George on his side."
Dino sighed. "If that''s the case, Wilbur would have two City Lords looking out for him. It''d pretty much be impossible for us to kill him then."
"Maybe not." Dalton''s gaze shed dangerously. "Things can''t just end like that. As long as Wilbur''s alive, the Dragon yer Organization''s reputation and status will suffer. If this gets out to the other towns, our organization will be theughingstock of all the cultivators. Our organization is in every major town, where we hold so much power. We can''t just screw everything up like that!"
Dalton felt like the situation was bigger than just killing a dragon n cultivator now. He needed to redeem the Dragon yer Organization''s pride and reputation. In the thousands of years Dalton had spent running the organization, he had killed no less than eight hundred to a thousand dragon n cultivators.
Now that almost all the dragon n cultivators had been wiped out, something that threatened to damage the organization''s reputation had popped up. Dalton would have none of it.
Dino knew how terrifying Dalton''s wrath was, thus lowered his head and asked, "Well, what do you think we should do, Mister Dalton?"
Dalton sneered. "Keep an eye on Wilbur and tell me the second he leaves Buck Town. I''m going to ambush him with some men and make sure he never gets out!" Over in the secret chamber, Wilbur paced around as Edmund sat down to meditate. Edmund could sense Wilbur''s unease and frowned. "You''re worried that Dalton and Dino wille back and break into the quarters again, aren''t you?"
"I don''t think they''ll give up that easily, Lord Edmund. We''re still at risk right now. If he does break in, we''ll have no choice but to battle him."
"Yes, we would have no choice... but I don''t see it that way. Daltoning to see me means that he doesn''t want to step on my toes just yet. I don''t think he''ll be breaking into the quarters anytime soon."
"But..." Wilbur was still rather anxious. He was uncertain if Dalton would show up, as there was still a tiny possibility that he would.
"I know you''re worried, Mister Penn, but there''s no point in freaking out over this. Why worry about something you have no control over, right? Just give me three months. In three months, my body will heal itself. Once that happens, I''d be able to take on two Daltons at once."
Wilbur saw a point in Edmund''s words and thus calmed down. After all, there was no point in panicking over something that was bound to happen.
Wilbur''s eyes shed the next second, and he turned to Edmund, finally understanding the difference between him and Edmund.
The next morning, Wilbur returned to his room. He sat on his bed cross-legged, beginning to meditate. Ever since he had absorbed Botani''s dark space energy, Wilbur had gained more knowledge on thews of dark space. It was quite an interesting feeling as Wilbur felt that he would not need to spend too much timeprehending dimensionalw.
Was it because of the evil god''s energy in him?
Wilbur felt like the evil god energy in the Light Armor had enhanced his cognitive skills. After all, evil gods came from the chaos dimension and Wilbur was from the universe dimension.
