This domain was a desert, and it was not long before sweat began to bead at Wilbur''s forehead. The ground began to rumble just as he raised a hand to flick his sweat away. A huge ck scorpion rose up from the sand beneath Wilbur''s feet.


    Wilbur caught his bnce, steadying himself on his feet. Compared to the scorpion, Wilbur was the size of an ant. It was not long before the scorpion seemed to notice Wilbur''s presence and quickly spun around. It raised its tail, aiming it at Wilbur before striking.


    Wilbur leaped out of the way at once. He saw the sand on the side move, followed by a gigantic lizard emerging from the shifting sands. The lizard crawled onto the scorpion''s back and flicked its tongue out to catch Wilbur.


    Wilbur slid to the side, then retreated a dozen or so steps backward. Just as he was doing so, the scorpion struck again, but this time its tail pierced right through the lizard''s tongue.


    ck venom spread across the lizard''s originally-pink tongue, and it was not long before the lizard turnedpletely ck.


    The lizard tried to struggle but died soon after. The scorpion tore the lizard''s belly wide open, filling the air with the stench of blood. In the next second, the sand beneath began to rumble once more.


    Following that, dozens of scorpions emerged. They scuttled toward the lizard and ate all of it up within a minute.


    Wilbur looked again and saw that there were now at least a hundred scorpions lined up on the sand. One lizard was obviously not going to fill their stomachs, and their beady gazesnded on Wilbur.


    Even though Wilbur was tinypared to the scorpions, any flesh was still considered food. The scorpions crowded over, taking different positions as they prepared to attack Wilbur as a group.


    Wilbur leaped into the air at once, avoiding the scorpions'' attacks. He looked down and immediately furrowed his brows at the sight of the crowd of scorpions. They had taken up the entire desert, and it was going to make finding the formation core a lot harder.


    Wilbur released his dragon aura but still could not find the formation core after searching for half an hour. This made him rather desperate. It was then that his gaze fell upon a scorpion with white spots on its back. The formation core seemed to be hidden inside the body of this scorpion.


    Wilbur summoned a thunder spear, aiming it at the scorpion before throwing it out. The thunder spear struck the scorpion in the back and caused a huge explosion.


    However, the scorpion was too big, and its shell was too thick for a single thunder spear to deal significant damage. Wilbur continued to throw spear after spear, and they continued to explode on the scorpion''s back.


    Finally, by the 150th thunder spear, the scorpion''s back was blown open. The formation core was finally destroyed, and Wilbur was transported back to the bottom of the well.


    He let out a long breath, continuing to make his way forward. The next few domains that he ran into were nowhere near as hard as the one with the desert and scorpions, which gave Wilbur a feeling that he had broken the formation core belonging to one of the four corner wells of the city.
