Right after that, the torso of the ice giant slid off the lower body and fell to the ground. The man in the ck robes widened his eyes in shock just as Wilbur came charging toward him with the historical halberd in hand.
The man in the ck robes turned invisible once more, but Wilbur could not sense where he was this time. Wilbur frowned before he realized that the Ice Domain was probably connected to the formation. The man had escaped, so Wilbur only needed to find the core of the formation and he would be able to leave.
After searching for a little over ten minutes, Wilbur finally found the formation core after splitting an icy mountain open. The formation core was destroyed, and the formation disappeared along with the ice. Wilbur found himself back in the open expanse at the bottom of the well.
Wilbur looked around him, but there was no sign of the man in the ck robes. After taking a few deep breaths, Wilbur suddenly realized that it might not be a single formation, but rather, several that wereid down here on top of the main one Owen had been guarding over.
These people had put quite a bit of effort into preventing the main body of the formation from being broken. However, Wilbur was determined to leave with the dragon cauldron fragment.
After all, it was his dream to reform the ninth dragon cauldron, and he was not nning to give up halfway.
Wilbur continued making his way forward, using his dragon aura to sense where the core of the main formation was.
After walking for a few hundred meters, a man in ck robes appeared in front of Wilbur all of a sudden as the ground beneath them turned into a live volcano. Lava spurted out of the volcano endlessly as the man looked at Wilbur. "Give it up, you''re not getting the dragon cauldron fragment. I''ll spare your life if you leave now."
"Cut the crap. Let''s just get this over with."
Wilbur summoned the historical halberd, and a battle broke out once more. After a dozen or so exchanges, the man disappeared all of a sudden. Wilbur was able to find the formation core soon after and destroyed it. The formation disappeared, and he returned to the bottom of the well.
In the next few hours, Wilbur ran into five of six formations by pure chance. The men in ck robes fighting him would always flee right after Wilbur had defeated them, which would dispel their domain.
These formations were hardly difficult at all, but they would be sure to increase in difficulty once Wilbur got closer to the main formation structure. He would have to be much more careful then.
Wilbur thought of the Ice Domain at the start as he walked along. That domain had been incredibly powerful, which should make it a pretty strong formation. It was also right at the bottom of the well in the city center. Could there be simr, less powerful formations at the bottom of the other four wells in the city?
After walking for a good distance, Wilbur came up to a wall. There were two openings in it that led to different passages. Wilbur chose the one on the left and walked down a very narrow passage.
Wilbur kept on walking for about a hundred meters when the passage widened all of a sudden. Another three hundred meters of walkingter, a formation domain appeared in front of him.
