Wilbur looked at the man. "Would I be able to approach the well if I defeat you, then?"
From their conversation just now, Wilbur could tell that this guy was rather prideful. Despite not knowing who exactly hadid down that formation in this city, Wilbur had a pretty clear idea of what he wanted.
He did not want to get on anyone''s bad side, but looking into the well might tell him where the dragon cauldron piece was. Thus, Wilbur chose to provoke the man in the ck robes. If the man took on his challenge, he might get a chance to enter the well.
"What? How dare you challenge me? What right do you have to be so arrogant? Do you even know what the consequences are for angering me?"
Wilbur saw the man in the ck robes grow serious all at once, and a smile appeared on Wilbur''s face. He had achieved his goal. "You can do whatever you want with me if I lose. But if I win, I want to get inside that well. Do we have a deal?"
"Sure! As you wish!"
The man in the ck robes then added, "If you lose, you''re going to leave Wrecknam and never evere back."
He walked down from the podium, muttering a spell. Two clones split out of his body, followed by three more. In just an instant, there were six of him.
Wilbur put his palms together, chanting a spell as well. A golden dragon appeared above his head out of thin air. It soared downward, wrapping itself around Wilbur''s right arm.
The Light of Dragon had once been considered a very powerful move in Wilbur''s arsenal. However, cultivating his dragon aura with Orkot improved Wilbur''s knowledge of it to another level, and the Light of Dragon was now just a normal move for him.
The man''s eyes shed coldly at the sight of the golden dragon. "A cultivator from the dragon n, eh? I knew it. So, you''re here to take the dragon cauldron piece away, aren''t you?"
Wilbur raised an eyebrow. "How did you know that?"
The man sneered coldly and replied, "Because I''m the guardian Senior Fremont assigned to protect this well. Oh, I didn''t tell you just now, but my name''s Owen. Remember your arrogance, young man, as I''m sure this battle will be one that affects you for the rest of your life. I''m going to make you live the rest of your life in misery."
Upon saying those words, Owen and his clones turned into ck shadows that came charging toward Wilbur from different directions. Just then, Wilbur stomped on the ground with his foot. A powerful force shattered the concrete on the ground, as he kicked off, charging forward as well.
Owen gritted his teeth, cursing, "Has this idiot lost his mind?"
Wilbur leaped into the air when he was about fifty meters away from Owen and his clones. Wilbur let out a furious roar, and Owen, along with his clones, were lifted into mid-air by a mysterious and powerful force.
