Wilbur frowned at the thought, sensing that something out of the ordinary must
have happened. "Senior Josie, I don''t know what your end goal is, but can you tell me why you did that?"
Josie smiled. "Sure. If you pass my second test, I''ll tell you before the third test starts. How''s that?"
Wilbur opened his mouth, but words failed him. He simply nodded, saying, "Alright, then. Well, Senior Josie, what''s your second test?"
"Oh, this one''s simple enough. You know now that there''s an enormous formation
at the bottom of this forest, right? The formation actually has three formation cores, and each core is watched by a formation guardian."
"All you need to do is defeat these three guardians, and you''ll pass my second test."
"Formation guardians? Are they powerful?"
Josie looked at Wilbur. "The three formation guardians are all at the Emperor level, and they''re all chosen ones."
"What does that mean?"
"They all have the protection of the middle dimension elites. That''s right, they''re just like you. You have the Light Warrior''s Light Gloves, so that''s your form of protection. This protection doesn''t alwayse in the form of a weapon or armor. It could also be a special middle dimensionalw."
The middle dimension was not an independent one, but contained many different dimensions within itself, each with its own rules.
Overall, though, they were all still considered middle dimensions that operated by middle dimensionalws.
"I see. Well, I ept your test."
Josie smiled. "Oh, you don''t have to say yes so soon. If you''re thinking of getting any information on your opponents before you go looking for them, I''ll tell you now that I''m not going to reveal anything about them to you. I know nothing about the three guardians, nor do I know what kind of middle dimensional protection they have received. That''s for you to find out on your own."
"Yeah, that''s fine."
Wilbur did not hesitate to say yes to the test. After all, he had made it this far and did not want to give up. He now had one of the ninth dragon cauldron pieces and just had to find the other eight.
He would be able to find out the secret to the dragon n then.
The truth was that Wilbur was also extremely curious about Senior Fremont. After all, this was a lower dimension, but Senior Fremont was able to be an elite of an upper dimension.
That feat itself spoke volumes of how powerful Senior Fremont was, but it might not just be his own efforts going into this. The dragon n might be part of the reason Senior Fremont got to where he was.
Maybe knowing the secret of the dragon n might make Wilbur himself an upper dimension elite too. The thought excited Wilbur, as no cultivator would turn down the offer to grow more powerful.
Josie nodded. "Alright, then. You''ve got one month toplete this test. Within this month you''ll need to find all three of the formation core guardians here and defeat them to pass the test."
"Sure."
"Good luck."
The air shed with golden light, and Josie was gone.
Wilbur took a deep breath, looking around him. Right on cue, his stomach let out a loud growl. It looked like he was going to have to find something to eat before he went looking for the three guardians.
Just as Wilbur was wondering how to get food here, he felt a cold breeze behind him. Wilbur whipped around sharply and saw a pair of green eyes staring at him from the depths of the forest.
