Wilbur took a deep breath and put the map away. Despite the fact that Adam had undoubtedly deserved his death, that liquid woman was Adam''s mother and Wilbur did not think she would be nice enough to help him out like this.
Thus, Wilbur did not think that this map would be a good sign. However, it did help to have a map around for reference.
Wilbur came out of Anderson Town and took a taxi back to Sacrie, the capital of Mosarto. That afternoon, he got on a flight to Eweyn.
Mosarto and Eweyn were pretty close to each other, and taking a flight was the fastest way to get to either ce. The flight had only taken a little over an hour for Wilbur to arrive at Swili National Airport, Eweyn''s capital.
Eweyn was yet to be a part of the Allied States, and thus all visitors were required to apply for a special pass before entering the country. Wilbur had not applied for his pass and was able to get one on the ne in Mosarto. However, he was promptly stopped by the policemen at the airport entrance and escorted into a police car.
Wilbur took out his Department of Paranormal Research and Defense license in the car. This department was a powerful existence, and owning a license from there was the same as a license to enter any country in the world.
Even though a license from the Department of Paranormal Research and Defense should be sufficient for him as a travel document, the two police officers in the car were nothing but arrogant to Wilbur. The younger officer named Jack said, "I know your license is considered a pass, but we have our own rules. Pleasee to the police station with us to fill out the paperwork, and we''ll send you back to the airport."
Wilbur was a little annoyed but could not say no to the request and did as he was told. He sat waiting at the station for a while, but the two officers did not get to the paperwork at all. In fact, they seemed to have no intention of attending to Wilbur at all.
An hour passed, and the two officers finally finished filling out the paperwork. Jack walked up to Wilbur, handing him a red pass. "Alright, you''ve got a pass now. You''re free to roam around Eweyn for a week, but you''ll have toe back to get a new pass if you want to stay after that."
Wilbur nced at Jack, then at the pass he was holding. "I have a license that counts as a pass, so I don''t know why I have to use the pass you give me. Doesn''t my license work here?"
"Oh, of course it does, but you better do as I say. You''re in Eweyn, not Dasha. Both you and I are better off doing this."
Wilbur had no choice but to take the pass Jack had given him. He turned to leave but stopped two steps in to look back at Jack. "What about the ride to the airport you promised me?"
Jack shrugged his shoulders. "I''m sorry, but none of our drivers were avable. I''m afraid you''re going to have to get a ride on your own."
Wilbur came out of the station and gged a cab to head to Bruille Town. Eweyn was an even smaller country than Mosarto, and the ride from the capital Swili to Bruille Town only took fifty minutes.
However, the driver was not the friendliest, giving Wilbur strange looks the entire ride. Wilbur arrived at Bruille Town and noticed a good number of the townsfolk sneaking nces at him as well.
