Wilbur bowed to Stefan''s skeleton before turning to a golden treasure chest next to the bed. Wilbur could feel the special aura radiating off the Light Armor inside and knew that it was right inside that chest. It was time the Light Armor showed itself after sitting still for centuries.
Wilbur walked up to the treasure chest, reaching out to open it. Just as he was about to touch the box, Wilbur paused abruptly as he turned to look at Stefan. Despite Stefan having led the way for Wilbur, he seemed to have an ulterior motive. Back at the crossroads, Stefan had purposefully led Wilbur into the stone room on the right, where he had nearly been killed by the gray Shadow Men.
Stefan might be a senior, but he was certainly not to be trusted. Wilbur picked up the treasure chest for his own protection, setting it down on the stone desk. He crossed over to stand behind the chest, reaching around to open it from the back. Indeed, Wilbur had been right to be cautious. The second he opened the treasure chest, a de flew out and drove itself into the wall across it. A long crack appeared where the de had nted itself.
Just then, the skeleton sitting on the bed turned into a pile of dust. It seemed to have been drained of all its energy.
Wilbur turned to the stone bed coldly. "You did this to yourself, Senior Stefan. No one else is to me."
It was a good thing Wilbur had been wary enough to open the treasure chest from the back, or he would have been impaled by the de Stefan had nted in there. It seemed like Wilbur was never Stefan''s chosen one, and all his while, he was nothing by Stefan''s prey.
Well, Wilbur had made it this far on his own, which meant that neither of them owed each other anything anymore. Wilbur took out the Light Armor from the chest, putting it on his body.
Despite having killed the Shadow Men, Stefan''s formation that he hadid down in Wearson Valley had not disappeared. Otherwise, Wilbur would have felt a significant change in the air, which did not happen. It proved that the formation was definitely still intact.
Since that was the case and the formation was definitely formed by the Light Armor, putting the armor on would surely help Wilbur sense where the core of the formation was.
Wilbur understood the kind of person Stefan was atst. Stefan had borrowed the power of the Light Armor toy down a formation, but he was a deeply selfish person. It was only natural that he would have had more than one formation core set up.
That was the only way the Light Armor could remain in that room, and the other formation cores would be of use then.
Sure enough, Wilbur sensed the gigantic formation in Wearson Valley, as well as the three locations where there were formation cores.
Now, all Wilbur had to do was break the three formation cores and the formation would disappear, along with the fog that filled Wearson Valley all year long.
Wilbur hesitated walking out of Stefan''s room but still walked into the room at the end of the passage on the right. He picked up the broken pieces of the Shadow Man''s sword, putting them away. The sword might be broken, but the peculiar powers it held were still present and Wilbur did not want to have them go to waste.
