Was that the Shadow Men?


    Wilbur was in the middle of debating who the figure was when his shadow on the way suddenly reached out to grab him by the neck. At the same time, his shadow on the ground stood up and grabbed both of Wilbur''s feet to yank him to the ground.


    Just as Wilbur fell to the ground, the shadow on the ground reached out and wrapped its arms around Wilbur, trying to yank his body downward. Wilbur struggled with all his might and every move he made only produced more shadows.


    The new shadows would grab at his body once more, and there were a dozen pairs of jet-ck hands within a matter of seconds. They grabbed Wilbur firmly with what seemed like unparalleled strength, trying to drag him into the darkness.


    Wilbur chanted and cast the Illuminos spell, sending a ball of light above his head. It lit up the dark path at once, and the shadows seemed to shrink back into the wall and ground, trying to stay away from the light.


    Wilbur''s chest heaved as he sat up from the ground, and Stefan''s voice rang in his head once more, "You''re clever, but this is just the start."


    "What?"


    Wilbur looked confused, and Stefan said, "Not every shadow is afraid of light."


    Stefan went silent after that again no matter how loudly Wilbur shouted. Wilbur had also snapped out of his brief triumph just now. After all, the Illuminos spell was an extremely simple spell. If that was all it took to scare the Shadow Men off, they would never be able to take over the Cave of Korst.


    Wilbur thought back to what just happened and found it rather unbelievable that all he did was move, and every movement would create another pair of shadow hands, sometimes even a full body.


    The path was so cramped, but these Shadow Men seemed to be immensely powerful that this hardly felt like a battle in the small space. Those dark areas seemed to be limitless, and the Shadow Men were trying to drag Wilbur into the darkness so they could swallow him whole.


    Wilbur realized that he would not be able to face these Shadow Men with strength alone. Based on what Stefan had just said, not all the Shadow Men were afraid of the light. Well, how was Wilbur going to beat these Shadow Men then?


    Wilbur fell deep into thought. All of a sudden, he spotted the shadows on the wall changing as if wanting to grab Wilbur''s throat once more.


    Wilbur spun around abruptly, and the shadow panicked before returning to its original form. Wilbur did not want to start any trouble and could only pick up the speed to where the next light was.


    He looked up and saw that the Shadow Man before him had long since disappeared. For some reason, Wilbur had a strange feeling about the darkness


    in front of him. He felt like there was a pair of eyes spying on him.


    Wilbur thought of the power of light and the power of destruction then. These Shadow Men might be powerful, but they were still creatures of the lower dimensions. Wilbur might just be able to kill them if he used the dimensionalws of the lower dimensions on them.


    Upon figuring this out, Wilbur was no longer fearful as he stepped toward the darkness. Yet just as he was about to get close, the white light above his head disappeared. Still, Wilbur did not care, continuing to make his way toward the sea of darkness.


    The next second, just as Wilbur waspletely enveloped in the darkness, a hand grabbed at Wilbur''s clothes and dragged him further into the darkness. All at once, Wilbur''s body surged with the power of destruction. He waved his thunder cleaver in a relentless attack, but there seemed to be countless hands reaching out from the darkness.


    The Shadow Men hidden in the darkness continued to attack Wilbur. The next second, he flew out backward from the darkness, crashing heavily onto the ground as the thunder cleaver slid out of his grasp.


    Wilbur was in disbelief and shock. The armor forged out of the power of destruction had disappearedpletely. On top of that, the Shadow Men had turned even crazier when he was attacking them with the power of destruction.


    The shadows seemed... desperate for the power of destruction. Could it be that even the power of destruction could not take these Shadow Men down?
