Chapter 1914

"What?" Ralph stopped in mid-air, staring at Wilbur in shock. "Is... Is that the power of light?"

"You''re absolutely right," Wilbur roared as a shield of light formed, spreading out quickly. Ralph''s tentacles wilted the second they came into contact with the barrier as he retreated with all his might. "Please, please don''t do this! I''ll die without my essence of life! I don''t want to die!"

"But you were going to kill me just now!"

"I don''t want to die! Please, sir! Please forgive me!"

Ralph bowed profusely to Wilbur, and the shield of light stopped growing in size

as Wilbur said, "Alright. If you want to live, I can forgive you, but you need to promise me two things. One: hand the purple potion over. Two: you''reing with me to see Barney."

"That''s no problem at all as long as you don''t kill me. I''ll do anything you want, sir."

Ralph''s figure grew smaller and smaller, eventually returning to his regr form. He opened his mouth and took out a tube of purple potion, passing it to Wilbur. "It''s yours now, sir."

Wilbur took the tube from Ralph, heaving a sigh of relief. "Is this another special virus like David?"

Ralph paused for a beat. "No, sir. This is a viroid, not a special virus like David. The viroid was invented by the seventh civilization on Earth and the aliens. They took their most powerful research and turned them into viroids. The truth is this octopus viroid is on a different level of existence from David. So, David''s more powerful than the viroid."

"Alright. I''ll take this, then. You''reing with me now. We''re going to see Barney."

Wilbur turned to leave, but Ralph threw himself onto the ground. "Sir, please wait. I have one more request."

    "Hm? What is it?"

Ralph looked like he was in immense pain. "Since Light Valley has abandoned me, there won''t be anywhere I can live in Cametra anymore. If I can help you take Barney out, I hope you''ll let me go. Let me leave Cametra. I just want to be a normal person."

Wilbur chuckled. After all, Paul had just told Wilbur to get rid of Barney and Damon. Now that Damon was dead, Barney was the only one left. Ralph was not on the list, which meant that Paul would not me Wilbur for letting Ralph go either.

If Ralph could really take Barney down, it would be good for Wilbur, too.

The truth was that Wilbur had used up arge portion of his energy in his battle against Ralph, and he would have copsed if it had not been for the thunder-type Healing Pill he had taken. The shield of light had pretty much drained Wilbur of all his strength.

Borrowing the power of light and the power of destruction by force caused Wilbur to umte a lot of internal damage. He only appeared fine on the outside.

Wilbur was in desperate need of someone to help him out, and he was willing to agree to the deal with Ralph.

"Alright, Ralph. I''m fine with that. As long as you kill Barney for me, I''ll let you go." "Thank you, sir."

Ralph bowed deeply to Wilbur as Wilbur fidgeted awkwardly. The two had just been opponents, but now Ralph had admitted defeat on his own.

To Wilbur, Ralph had done this because he knew that he had lost his support from the Light Valley. Since they did not need Ralph anymore, there would be no point in him trying to contribute more, either.

Rather than fighting an endless battle day by day, he was better off leaving Cametra and finding somewhere to live out the rest of his life in peace.

Wilbur looked at the purple potion. "Let me ask you something, Ralph. Are you sure you''ll be able to defeat Barney without the help of this viroid?"

Ralph stared at Wilbur for a few seconds. "Sir, it''s very easy to defeat Barney since I know his weakness."

    "Alright, then."
