Demetra came up to Wilbur, showing him his power. Demetra''s body had
Wilbur nodded. "Congrattions, you can now control your power of destruction."
Just then, Tina came into the room with a man with blonde hair and blue eyes. "Someone wants to meet you, Wilbur."
"Who?"
"He calls himself Grote."
Grote was a hunky bloke who came up to Wilbur''s bed and introduced himself. "Hello, Mister Penn. My name is Grote, and I''m the cultivator the Allied States sent to investigate the crimes of Greensource Corp. It''s nice to meet you."
"Grote?"
Wilbur did not have a good feeling about Grote''s words. After all, the elites from the seven countries had arrived in Cametra before Wilbur, and none of them had reached out to him on their own. Why now?
Grote must have run into some trouble.
"Yes, that''s me," said Wilbur. "Could I ask why you''re here, Mister Grote?"
Grote frowned, looking shocked. "Don''t you know already, Mister Penn?"
"Know what?"
"About the Battle of the Trapped Beast."
"Are you talking about Greensource Corp''s attempt to bribe the cultivators?" "Yes."
"Let me exin to you, Mister Penn."
Grote told Wilbur everything he knew then. It turned out that Toshen from Cherrytopia had been challenging the elites from the other countries in the past three days, and he had killed nine of them in just three days.
Each of the seven countries sent two elites, which meant that there were fourteen elites in total, fifteen if Wilbur was included. Now that Barett was dead and Toshen had killed nine more, there were only five elites left.
Grote''s master George had also been killed by Toshen just the night before, and Grote had only been lucky enough to survive because he had not been at home. Grote had heard that Toshen''s pupil, Barett, had died at the hands of Wilbur, and thus felt that Wilbur would be powerful enough to go against Toshen. That was why he hade asking for help.
"Are we allies, or enemies in this terrible mission?" Grote said through reddened eyes. "This is all just a trapid out by Greensource Corp. Why is everyone listening to them? I don''t want to stay here for the rest of this wretched mission anymore. I want to go back to the Allied States."
Grote''s emotions grew as he spoke, and Demetra piped up sharply. "Can''t you take on the battles now that your master''s dead, Grote? Are you trying to run away like a coward?"
"What?"
Grote shrugged. "My master just got taken out by Toshen, and he''s way more powerful than I am. I''d be digging my own grave challenging Toshen on my own."
