Chapter 1816

Later that night, over in a deathly quiet building located west of Aidementon, the lights in a room were turned on. Witter looked at the old man sitting cross-legged on the floor. "Barett is dead, Mister Toshen."

The old man was dressed in traditional Cherrytopia clothing. He had been in the middle of meditation, and Witter''s sudden appearance surprised him a little.

Toshan and Barett were the elites that Cherrytopia had sent over to investigate Greensource Corp. They were both powerful elites who were born and raised in Cherrytopia, and also greatly hungry for power.

Upon discovering the power of the blue potion, Toshen and Barett voluntarily joined Greensource Corp. Barett had been Toshen''s pupil, and neither of them had been surprised at thepetition between the eight countries to get the bad guys.

In fact, Toshen had actually wanted Barett to just take down the rest of the elites from the other countries to gain Greensource Corp''s trust, only for Barett to be defeated by Wilbur Penn from Dasha in the first battle.

Toshen did not seem particrly emotional at the news of Barett''s death, merely saying, "Alright. You intend to have me take down Wilbur Penn now, right?"

Witter sneered. He knew Cherrytopia rather well and was no stranger to their cold demeanor. Compared to Dasha, the people of Cherrytopia were easier to control. Barett had invited the battle upon himself, and now Toshen was doing the same.

It was hard to believe that the race to get the bad guys was now turning into a voluntary massacre against each other.

"That''s right," said Witter. "Only two out of the sixteen elites can be taken in. I had thought that you and your pupil Barett would fill both spots, only for him to meet such an unfortunate fate. It truly is a shame, but Greensource Corp intends to befriend you, Mister Toshen. Since only two out of sixteen people can stay, that means that they will be split into two groups of eight. One person will only have to fight seven others. Since Barett is dead, that means you only need to defeat six more people and you''ll be able to join Greensource Corp, benefitting from the many privileges we offer."

    "No, thank you."

Toshen''s gaze shed dangerously. "I was never nning to give the chance up to others. Now that Barett is dead, I''ll make sure that everyone else joins him in the afterlife as well."

Witter was shocked by those words. "Mister Toshen, are you saying..."

"Don''t worry, I''ll take everyone out. Give me three days. I''ll kill a few of them to prove my power to you."

Witter looked confused. "Aren''t you going to take Wilbur Penn out first?"

Toshen took a deep breath. "I haven''t experienced such pain in a very, very long time. Pain is the driving force for me to improve. I''d like to kill a few people before I challenge Wilbur. That way, it''ll leave a deep impression on me.

Despite the fact that Toshen''s suggestion was out of Witter''s n, Witter was

willing to change it around. Besides, the other seven countries were not that interested in this race aside from Mister Toshen and his pupil.

It would be hard to control those elites, and there would be a huge problem if they were to retaliate. Now that Toshen was willing to get rid of them, it was undoubtedly good news for Witter.

"Alright. We shall go ording to your n, Mister Toshen."

Wilbur rested in bed for three whole days. The Holy One had not injured Wilbur in the battle, but his power of light and power of destruction had done a great deal of damage to Wilbur''s body.

On top of that, the dragon''s head had also absorbed part of Wilbur''s physical strength. Wilbur would get bouts of powerlessness in his limbs, and it was only on the third day that he began healing.

"I''ve done it, Mister Penn," Demetra said.
