"Indeed," Greg nodded. "But this guy refuses to budge, and I think it might be difficult to get the gloves from him if we don''t go about it differently."
"How do you think we should go about it, then?"
"From what I know, Wilbur Penn is currently staying in Aidementon at a house that belongs to ady named Tina. She''s dating him. Maybe we could kidnap her and force Wilbur to hand the gloves over."
Walton frowned, before saying, "We''ll go with that. Remember, don''t spare Wilbur or Tina before we get the gloves."
"Got it. But Wilbur''s a cultivator, and I don''t think I''m skilled enough to defeat him."
"What? Aren''t you at mid Ambience level? Are you saying you can''t beat Wilbur with your skills?"
"That''s exactly what I''m saying. From the way I see it, we should lead Wilbur to the underground maze and have the Holy One kill him. That way, we''ll have a shot at taking the both of them out if they go at each other too hard."
"I guess Greensource Corp hasn''t replied to us, then?"
"No, they haven''t. I think they don''t find our business lucrative enough, which is fair, honestly."
"The nerve of those bastards. I''ll have them under my foot one day!" Walton spat viciously.
Over in the underground maze, Greg and Walton bowed to the Holy One respectfully. "O'' Mighty Holy One, we wish for you to help us this once."
"I see. This Wilbur Penn really does deserve to die, how dare he try to keep my holy weapon for himself! Leave him to me. Just bring him here and I''ll get rid of him."
"Thank you, Holy One. We''ll get to that now."
Tina arrived homete in the evening, calling out as she entered the house. "Mom, I''m back."
Her mother would always respond to her, but that did not happen today. Tina rushed into her mother''s bedroom, shoving the door open. She turned on the light and saw a masked man holding a dagger to her mother''s neck.
"You!"
"Don''t say a word, Tina. You''re going to be silent if you want your mother to live. Come over here and be a good girl."
Tina had no other choice. Her mother was all she had, and Tina could not bear having anything happen to her.
Tina inched closer to the masked man, which made him let out a smug chuckle. "I knew you were a good daughter, Tina. Are you willing to rece your mother as a hostage? Nod if you agree."
Tina nodded hard, her eyes reddened.
The masked man grabbed Tina, holding the dagger to her neck. Tina''s mother was about to scream, but the masked man knocked her out.
"Mom!"
"Be quiet. She''s just unconscious. All you have to do now ise with me, and I promise your mother''s going to be fine. If you don''t do as I say, I can''t promise what''s going to happen."
