Spirit energy was the source of one''s life, and what kept a person''s body alive. If a person''s spirit energy were to weaken, their internal systems would be affected

    This was the reason why some people went into shock upon hearing bad news and aged rapidly in the days after that.


    Wilbur activated his Iris Veritas and was able to see a spider web forged of ck miasma inside of Albus'' body. There was even a spider about the size of a fist on the web.


    The spider seemed strange to Wilbur. It was ck in color but radiated a white glow. That probably meant that the spider was abination of the power of destruction and the power of the light.


    The spider was capable of feeding on Albus'' spirit energy, causing its power of destruction to grow stronger. Then, the spider would feed on the power of destruction to convert it into the power of the light.


    With the spider growing from continuing to feed on Albus'' spirit energy, Albus'' condition would rapidly deteriorate. That was the reason he was in this state, on the brink of death.


    "So? What''s it going to be?"


    Harrod crowded over. "Do you see anything, Mister Penn?"


    "Yes. I''ve found a way to heal Mister Albus."


    Wilbur opened his right hand, cing all five of his fingertips against Albus'' stomach. The next second, a powerful force of suction emerged from his palm to absorb the spider web of power of destruction in Albus'' body. The spider was turned into ck miasma and white light as well, eventually absorbed into Wilbur''s body altogether.


    Following that, Wilbur used the same method to heal Harrod and Madam Marie. The power of destruction and the power of the light swam around in Wilbur''s body, and ck miasma appeared above his right hand.


    The power of the light was far too strong, and it suppressed the power of destruction while the remaining power of destruction appeared above Wilbur''s hand. Both forces were raging in Wilbur''s body, threatening to knock his internal system askew and cause severe damage.


    There was no other way to go about this than to expel the remaining power of destruction.


    Wilbur rushed into the bathroom. He clenched his fist, channeling the surplus power of destruction into a punch and striking the toilet. It shattered with a deafening sound, and Wilbur heaved a sigh of relief.


    "Mister Penn! Are you alright?"


    "Yes, I''m fine."


    Wilbur pushed the door open. "I''ve broken the curse the Holy One ced on the three of you using his evil sorcery. Harrod, did the Holy One ever make you consume anything?"


    Harrod widened his eyes in shock, whipping around to Madam Marie. She nodded, and Harrod said at once, "Yes. The Holy One had Mister Albus take what he said was a powerful supplement pill and gave Madam Marie and me one each as well."


    "That''s it, then. The pill is what caused everything, but it''s all settled now."


    To make sure Albus would live, Wilbur decided that he was going to stay in Pilsey for the next three days while Tina drove back to Aidementon.


    Tina left in the evening and would be back to pick Wilbur up in three days.


    Wilbur watched her leave from the balcony, his back to Harrod. "Mister Harrod, I''ll take the Holy One down for the Jonan family this time, but I hope you can promise me one thing."


    "What is it, Mister Penn? We''ll do anything to make sure Mister Albus lives!"


    At the same time, Greg rushed into Walton''s manor. "Walton, we hacked into the


    consignment shop''s data vault, but there''s no sign of the gloves."


    "That means that the gloves are still with that Wilbur Penn guy, right?"
